Starting tomorrow the GCG will being sending emails to all of those who signed up to receive them regarding FTP remissions. Let's use this thread to discuss general issues we have with the process and come up with what we think are the best ways to go about getting 100% of what we are owed.

I personally think that waiting a bit before applying is best. I personally have limbo funds that I never received, and according to 1938Ford and Skallagrim, posters who have a clear legal background, you will get one shot at your remission funds. Therefore waiting a bit to see what if anything other people come up with and seeing if the GCG will have a more direct message after tomorrow is optimal imo.

I know there are people out there wondering about how they are going to handle limbo funds, bounced checks, affiliate payments, funds that were never debited from bank accounts but were put in play on FTP, rakeback, money won after 4/15/11, ect. Lets discuss those and other issues that may arrive itt.

And for those who did not see the link:

http://www.fulltiltpokerclaims.com/index.php

Obv good luck to everyone, lets hope we get what we are owed promptly.

If I get an email with the proper amount displayed I will obviously be clicking the "confirm" button.

Here's to hoping that this is an easy (and relatively quick) process!

I highly doubt this. I'm thinking we get an email with a form that asks us all of our FTP information, our billing information, our personal information, etc. And then we get sent a check for whatever amount they have on file.

Yes, the link in the OP should have the paper work to fill out when the emails go out tomorrow. Assuming you don't get an email.

what kind of MANIAC would respond to an email from someone they've never contacted with all that information?

even if they're expecting remissions to contact them. i mean that **** is just ripe for exploitation.

Wow, that's a great point. Def want to be careful about not giving away a ton of your personal info to random emails.

Could def see someone trying to send out fake GCG emails after what happened to Jeans at the EPT.

is it safe to assume that payouts won't begin until November 15th (the deadline to submit a petition for remission) at the earliest?

You should be fine. I don't even have my e-mail account associated with FTP anymore, so I called the GCG hotline and they told me that I was already in the system, and to just fill out the form that will be on their website on Sept 16th.

For those that are still owed, how do you know/remember what your balance was when full tilt was shut down? Just curious as I haven't followed this process much.

There's a way to request your account history from the FTP client (which U.S. players can still use for play money games). I don't remember the details but for anyone who wants to do this, Google is your friend.

Yes, 100%. The GCG said that they first need to calculate how much money was requested via the remission process, and determine if its ><= the total amount they can pay out.

Forgive me for being an idiot, but I have money on Full Tilt and haven't done anything. What steps do I need to take?

Much appreciated.

For BustoPro:
It's mentioned several times in the Garden City etc. thread. Won't take you too long to ferret it out. It can get you your transaction history, which will show your balance.

just respond truthfully to any emails you get sent. be sure to include all your personal information, full tilt information, banking information, and SS# with all your correspondence. and remember: it's a felony to lie to a federal agent, and so is obstruction of justice so you better not ignore those repeated emails from departmentof.jus1ice@hotmail.com cause they can charge you with an additional 1-2 years for that.
