Like I said, the rigged bit is kind of a joke. I can't remember exactly because it was years ago but it was the final round of the night, she chose a letter, hit the lead and I guess decided to solve it to lock in the win and not risk going bankrupt.

TBH I don't really believe it was rigged, it's just a longstanding joke between me and my mates who were in the audience.

Not because she tried to win but because she was fed the answer. Sheesh, I said it was a joke FFS.

Plus I still don't believe my lack of emotion was bad TV.

They mustn't have appreciated my 'I'll have a P for Psychopath' or 'give me a T for Tsatziki' , 'an R for Ramones' or an 'S for Smegma'.

End derail

Im personally shocked regarding how much obscure info Alex knows. I cant wait to see who beats him.

I remember the women who ended Jennings' streak was inconspicuous as hell...

If you really did say "S for Smegma", I don't blame them for rigging your loss.

Love that Alex's shirt collar has buttons, but he isn't buttoning it.

Did Alex not know that Ahmadinejad is still very much alive and kicking?

Better than leaving it blank like so many contestants.

Today seemed like more of a struggle than the previous days, although it doesn't show in the score - not sure if was the categories, or maybe there's fatigue if there's multiple tapings?

Also Dane seemed pretty sharp, even though he seemed more willing to make guesses and be wrong.

PS. Hope I didn't give too much away - was trying hard not to spoil things for anybody who hasn't watched yet

All I can say is wow. What a joy it is to watch him. Has the show ever brought up the fact that he won millions playing poker? (missed the first 2 shows)

Alex seems to be time banking a lot. Trying to balance his range?

I've only caught a couple eps. Have the brought up his $2.5 mil in cashes?

Alex immediately knew the answer to the second daily double (Rhine) but intentionally stalled and waited until the last second to answer. He also slows down category calling in double Jeopardy when he's in the lead.

Similar to tanking on the bubble of a poker tournament?

JRB on Survivor was posted in NVG iirc. This thread is perfectly acceptable in NVG. Unless you're leveling, then gg.

It's got a poker player in it.

Bit like the threads with the poker player murderer or the poker player airport scanner.

Nope. They briefly mentioned he played with celebrities during the awkward Q&A. Any comments about risk have been linked back to his currency trading.
