They paid this money to try and avoid a bigger suit or at least make themselves look remorseful. But I'd be surprised if this guy didn't win a way bigger case then this against the epic poker tour

Because neither the Epic Poker League nor Federated Sports + Gaming are licensees of the NGCB (or of any other gaming regulatory body), the Board could only hold the Palms Casino Resort accountable (the Palms is licensed by the NGCB). It was on the Palms premises where the infraction took place, therefore the Palms is obligated by the NGCB to rectify the situation.

Paraphrasing the best comment from the original thread, you know Epic Poker League's got image problems when everyone sides with the child molester.

We should still make his life a living hell if he ever tries to play life again.

Did anyone inform A. Duke that even she has to answer to the Nevada Gaming Commission?

Jonathan, at what point do you feel someone has paid their debt to society and is allowed to move on in their life?

when it comes to certain crimes (diddling kids etc) never

also, he attempted to racially insult me on the podcast by using a terrible mexican accent and implying something about how i should know how jail works based on my last name alone, so that kind of made me feel a bit more ill will towards him

It's fine that you think that, obviously, but unfortunately society has deemed a shorter punishment appropriate. If you think the punishment should be longer or substantially different, that sounds like something you should advocate for. He could also be an ******* and your second point is definitely more important to me in how he should be treated now than the crime he committed.

+1 That's something most people, including myself, won't just "forgive and forget" over time.

Unless there is a rule kiddiefiddlers couldnt enter, pay the scumbag.
He paid the buyin:
He won a prize fair and square:
He didnt cheat:
If he lost, then what? He wont get his $$ back
His dollars are still of value, just like a child molester buying a lottery ticket right? THey should still be paid

There's no way in hell Epic won't have to reimburse the Palms for the $18500.

Kudos to the NGCB for doing the right thing and awarding DiVita the money the Epic Poker League stole from him.
