I'm confused, why would Lindgren sell additional pieces of himself now? He's in the tournament already. Shouldn't it go by whatever percentage he had of the $25k?

Let's say he owned half the 25k satellite. He now owns 500k equity in the one drop. If he sold half of that at no vig, he has 250k to do the right thing and 1/4 of his one drop so he can still win 4 million for himself !

if he doesn't do something like this ANY CONVERSATION about him ever wanting to pay these guys back needs to end right here.

If you do not know how much of the satellite seat he owns, and how much in outstanding bets/loans he has, how can you know what the 'right thing' is? What if he sold all of his interest in One Drop, and it only covered 10% of debt, then what is the 'right' thing?

I didn't say he had to pay all his debts at this moment that was never even implied. if he ships any significant amount to his creditors it is a big step forward and he is doing the right thing. How exactly could he have sold all of his action in the one drop? Are you suggesting he sold the entire 25k of the satellite at no markup and is playing for fun with no financial incentive at all?

Even if Eric owned only 5k of the satty and now owns 20% of the one drop he can sell 100k for cash and still have 10% of the equity in the tournament. His actions regarding one drop will tell many people if they have any chance of ever being paid

Not sure what´s supposed to be wrong with this attitude. He might pay off small sums right now and be broke again, but he might also play in a massive tournament that he´s most definitely +EV in and try to turn this into something that will both pay off his creditors in full and get his life back on track.

The chance of him cashing in this for any serious amount and his creditors letting him get away with it without being paid in full have to be close to zero. He will be in every newspaper in the world if he wins big and doesn´t pay them off so him being in this $1m tournament may actually be a very good thing for them.

I guess he could try and force most of the creditors to convert debt into shares in the One Drop at maybe 25ct on the dollar? This would obviously be a dick move, but some might take it ...

Am I wrong to think that if Erick owes people money that any money he has possession of as well as any equity he can liquidate up to the total amount owed is not his money. It is the money of the people he is indebted to and should be given to them immediately unless they wish to roll the dice and possibly be made whole?

Boohoo if this takes away his earning potential and makes him homeless. Maybe thats cold-hearted, but that's the bet he made now he must honor it.

I think Lindgren stated in the past he was only going to pay back people who lent him "physical money" , everyone else could go frack themselves. Example, if you won money from Lindgren from a wager or fantasy league/bet, you aint never gonna get paid.
