I think that in this situation, if Lindgren would have ran away or denied the issue, Negreanu would not be defending him like he is. Annie Duke and HL still won't admit they did anything wrong (Lederer files blamed everyone else) At least Lindgren is facing up to what he did.

Hope he gets everyone paid back.

No.

We know where DN stands on his best friend and his behaviors. We also know that DN has been vocal and direct regarding Lederer/Duke/Epic/FTP/+. These examples are not mutually exclusive imo.

While there is no logical reason why us outsiders should understand DN's sympathy, i hope we would all act the same toward our best friend...tough love included.

What if it just so happens that DN helped/allowed/provided E to get back on track and settle his obligations? Seems to me like that would be in-line with supporting the community in a positive way while being true to oneself?

Are you joking? Lindgren owned up to precisely nothing until he had absolutely no choice but to cave and cooperate with his creditors because his reputation had been eviscerated. If he hadn't been outed on 2p2 for being in debt with basically everyone in the poker community, odds are he'd still be slow paying everyone/ignoring debts.

Who would stake him knowing that he's telling all his creditors to F off? Lindgren is doing what's best for his own bottom line and that's the end of it.
