so it sounds like he had the money to pay you back in his poker account, but he convinced you that he needed the money immediately because waiting for a check in the mail would take too long? in that case, you should have been reasonable for the amount of time it takes a poker site to get a check to you. after that you get on his case relentlessly demanding your money. if you allow yourself to be taken advantage of, people will take you up on it. waiting a year and a half is way too long

Send him an e-mail telling him his long lost cousin in Nigeria has inherited 13.5 million and simply needs 13.5 k to pay the proper legal and documentation fees to have it released.

Tell him this 13.5 k will entitle him to 135 K .

he didn't convince me of anything, we were staying together in vegas for another couple days after i gave him the cash and i knew he wouldn't be able to get it to me in cash before we left. i just assumed he would pay it back online when he got back home (since we were very good friends at this time i had no reason not to)

after leaving vegas, i talked to him a few times and he kind of shyed away from discussing the debt until he eventually told me he wasn't going to pay me until he felt ready, which is when i rightfully got annoyed. he was holding my money hostage because i had hurt his feelings (basically his claims). obviously i didn't think this was fair so i told him i was going to see what my legal options were (they weren't promising so i didn't try and bring it to court) and when that didn't pan out i decided along with admo that this website would be a good way to at least inform other 2p2 members about the situation to prevent them from getting scammed or stolen from and possibly getting don to want to resolve the issue.

Don Ohonjo (LegendofLink) and I exchanged a few PMs in March. I meant to update this thread back then but got busy running the NCAA Tourney bracket pools.

Cliff Notes of our PMs:

• Don refuses to discuss the $13k debt to Gary Stevenson any longer.
  
  
• Don wants all of his personal information removed from 2+2 and from the Don Ohonjo web site but will not offer any substantive information that would clear his name.
  
  
• Don claims he is not Pegusus and did not scam the HSNL sports betting thread, but that he knows who did using his accounts.
  
  
• Don claims the amount scammed out of the HSNL sports betting thread was closer to $3.4k than $6k.
  
  
• Don claims he had no knowledge of the Pegusus scamming in the sports betting thread. When I asked him why his main LegendofLink account stopped posting on 2+2 the same day that the Pegusus account got outed as a scammer, he cut off communication with me. Tried contacting him a couple times since his last PM but he doesn't respond.

Why not? If they have good reason they can certainly do it. Of course any unwarranted accusations can land one in a heap of legal trouble but both websites were made with proper justification. Scammers should be outed beyond the poker world.

do you really not see the difference? we have hard evidence and witnesses that prove he stole the money and welched on bets, what is wrong with outing someone who could potentially steal from others in your community?
