just started reading the article. i dont think this guy was actually an online pro for 4 years. i call bs.

he says..

Quote:
The toughest thing about being a no limit cash game player is the reality that you can always lose your entire days work in 1 hand.
maybe if you 1 table. if you're up $2k, and have $400-800 on half a dozen $4nl tables...no, you can't lose your whole days winnings in 1 hand. in fact, thats a pretty rare situation to come up. and if you have any mental fortitude, it shouldnt really bother you. thats like looking at how your stocks do every single day. "oh my god, im down $4,000!"

I honestly don't think there are too many rakeback pros that are shipping $72k pots. Usually when you are playing those stakes, you are either a winner or a loser. I don't think anybody who plays those levels survives off of rakeback alone (not that they couldn't do it as I'm sure the rb there is substantial, but most people who are playing for 72k pots are good enough to beat 5/10 for actual profit+rb)

He must play on other sites too or have played different games not tracked. Pro player of 4 years makes about 30k online. It's not exactly "much". Sure he made $72k in a big one, but he's had to survive on 30k for 4 years and I can't see how that's possible for a pro unless he lives at home.
