DN invites players to come to LAPT, Sao Paulo DN invites players to come to LAPT, Sao Paulo

LAPT sounds like a great time. Sun, surf, hot women until you read the fine print about the tournament. All tournament winnings subject to 15% witholding for Brazilian taxes. There is also a $400 Brazilian tournament fee on the main event. This gentelmen, is what I call a real Brazilian Wax Job. You can "Blame it on Rio" but the only reason I would go to Brazil is for the Carnival and the aformentioned Sun, Surf and Hot Women. I'm not giving any foreign country 15% for the privledge to play in a poker tournament.

if you're from the U.S., I'm pretty sure you can deduct the 15% off what you're supposed to pay the IRS for any winnings. Either way, it doesn't end up in your pocket. I'm not sure why you aren't more upset about the 40% that uncle Sam will take from any profits.

This.

Also, LAPTs aren't supposed to be the most profitable tourneys on the planet but a way to know new destinations and have a great time while playing a nicely run poker tournament.
I've been to every LAPT this season (including the one held in the same place as the Grand Finale) and I have nothing but great stuff to say about them.

Lol, surfing in São Paulo?

Good Luck?
Prolly on Tiete river could be a nice afternoon for amazing waves and some skins problems.

And the carnival will be runing on the next week, so u should already be looking for tickets in São Paulo Sambodromo or planing a trip to Rio de Janeiro folowing the parade over there, it's better and bigger, and Rio u gona have several options of things to do in the afternoon, just like bands and "blocos" passing through streets playing and cool beer being selling by almost everyone.

Yeah, I've been to Rio on Carnival, it's pretty sweet for people who like beer, hot women and beach, I recommend.

I think the first few people thought that was actually a tweet from DN.....

LOL

seeing as it was a post from a fake twitter account, the entiire thread title makes no sense as DN didn't invite anyone to brazil at all. Fake DN did. Close thread IMO.
