Can we discuss Cereus specifically? Can we discuss Cereus specifically?

Amazing how money can cloud one's objectivity when it comes these certified scumbags.

These *******s allegedly stole the popcorn money at the WSOP... Was that Beckley's idea or his so-called brothers? Or maybe their dad, "The Chairman"?

What a bunch of thieving douchbags.

How much money you got stashed offshore Mr Beckley, you raging *******?

If the US government announces there will be remission (they have not announced this yet) you will have to send some information, but not until the US government announces how to send it.

"Remission" is a process the US government sometimes uses to pay compensation to victims of crime, using money from assets seized from the criminals. When the government decides to use remission in a particular case, they notify the victims that remission will occur. People who want to receive payment from the government must tell the government why they qualify to be paid. When the government announces the remission process, they explain how victims must contact the government to claim a payment.

Remission was used to compensate FTP's US players. The application was made by filling out forms on an internet web site set up for that purpose.

FTP players outside the US were not paid through remission. They were paid directly by PokerStars, much sooner. Being paid by PokerStars is very unlikely to happen for AP/UB players.

And FTP players still have not all been paid, so don't hold your breath on getting our money, if it happens in the next 2 years I would be shocked, we are looking at around 5 years.

TheHip, can you get a grip and refrain from just depressing everybody?
This as one Hip fan to another. What is the point in doing nothing but making everybody even more depressed? We all have lost money. We all know that we'll never see everything back. Maybe, we can get a small percentage back, maybe not.

I just spoke with Sharon Cohen Levin, and asked her a few questions, she was quite polite. She didn't give me anything new, but she answered all of my ?s. I asked what the current status was for AP seeing as how FTP and PS players have been made whole.. she said the Marshalls service is still in the process of liquidating AP assets, and, depending on how much they get and when they get it, that will determine the DOJ's next move. I asked if remission was likely if they do get $$ and she said the decision hadn't been made yet, but i have to assume it would be likely. I also asked if there was any chance that the DOJ would use FTP or PS assets to pay AP victims and she said that that decision hadn't been made yet. So yes, nothing new, but its nice to hear that they are still working on this and that remission is possible! The original precedent for this case was to repay ALL victims and that includes AP/UB. I have hope... keep calling, let them know we are here !

Eazy - Thank you for your help with this. Appreciate it man.
This is good news from my perspective as it seems it is being "worked" on. At least someone has some sort of answers. Hopefully the "made whole" part is true and happens. Would only be fair right?

Does the Amaya buyout of Pokerstars & Full Tilt shed any good news on our situations?
Thoughts?

I wouldn't think so, but I'm not really "in the know" like most of you.
06-13-2014 , 03:10 PM
I'm assuming it doesn't change a damn thing for our situation, only way is for them to throw in another (50mill) and take care of us like stars did for tilt. Dont worry tho the doj is in the process of liquidating assests another decade or so we should have an update

Anyone know what the total amount of money is that the DOJ took from UB/AP processors over the years? It has to be more than 50 million, maybe we could make a case for that.

How could you come up with a number like that?
06-14-2014 , 12:55 AM
I just remember they were constantly taking down processors back in the day, it was a monthly thing to hear about it.

With the new PS deal do you think this will speed up a new UB/AP payout, if they want to get online back in full swing every body needs to be paid out in full, including us.

Getting enough people to actually believe that & keep the pressure on the DOJ & not just sweep that processor money under the carpet, is the hard part. Which common sense should show that's the players money.
