Can we discuss Cereus specifically? Can we discuss Cereus specifically?

3 year anniversary Rich, anyway you or somebody within the PPA can have a conversation with Preet concerning our situation? He's the man in control and I had zero success reaching out Thx!

How much longer until FTP is completely resolved and the attention gets shifted to UB?

Ok, wow! I just got through to Sharon Cohen Levin! I asked her a few questions. She said they are in the process of liquidating UB assets. I also asked if they were going to use the frozen bank accounts to pay back players and she said yes. Once everything is done and they have a pool of money they will begin a remission process. She said that unfortunately there wasn't much money in the frozen accounts. I also asked if the owners of UB would get jail time and she said she really did not know. I asked if they were waiting for FTP to finish up before taking care of UB and she said they are completely independent processes.

It was great to get through and talk with her! I am pumped. It will be some time before we get paid but it's just great to know that there is SOME money out there for us to be paid with.

I didn't ask what kind of % we should see, ie. 25 cents on the dollar, etc. I'll just be thrilled to get anything back. If someone is more curious, try her 1-212-637-1060. I probably called over 10 times before getting through (over the span of several weeks.)

Just my .02 that it's probably not good form to post this woman's work phone # in this forum, and encourage people to keep trying her til they get through. It's great you had such a great chat with her and that your diligence paid off, but not sure it's prudent to have degens phonebombing her. Her not hating poker players is probably an asset.

What a stupid article. No mention of their "superusers" who cheated players out of millions.

No mention of what these swell guys did with all the players funds either. WTF?

“What we were doing, again, it’s not even for argument, what we were doing wasn’t wrong,” Barovich said. “There was no harm to— technically it’s what they call a victimless crime. That means no one person or no one company was damaged.”

Any word on timetable for an update? What forum we would hear of an update through? Anything you can elaborate on this front?

No time frame. She said call back in a few weeks to see if there is an update on the liquidation of assets.

Hi guys,
I also have funds (8k) at AP, I am french and I want to know how can I do to help players in same situation. Sorry for my english I am really not fluent so it's complicated to call the numbers you mention. Do you think non US players will be treated as US players in case we have something in refund? Refund directly to bank account or do we have to claim directly our $$$? Thanks for this thread, a little hope for me to see some cash back!

If you get money back, the mechanism used could affect how non-US players are treated. If remission payments are made by the US government, there is nothing in remission law and regulations that would support foreign players being less well-treated than US players. If it is a remission case, you will have to make an application, much like happened for FTP's US players. (I'll point out than in the FTP case, foreign players were treated better than US players, however that was because of PokerStar's benevolent involvement.)

Was just about to bump this thread. Thanks Ilovbingo.

@Capitulate_please is it time to start calling up Sharon Cohen Levin once again to get an update?

Thanks for answer DoTheMath, what do you mean by making an application? Do I have to send something to claim my money? Sorry but as I said I'm really not fluent in english but it's our money and I think everybody in our situation must have to move because for me it's really a scandal and I don't understand why it's so long and the lack of information. Hopefully this thread exists!

Brilliant Article, 700 employees would of been a publicly listed company by now, all very elaborate for a company that just wanted to Hit n Run the poker community for 80 million, lets not forget the new US Ultimate poker has already made 12 million in the last financial quarter with a player base of nothing compared to what they had

Do u read an article about Pokerstars & say pfft no mention they were charged with fraud, no mention of bots, no mention of ghosted accounts/multiple account cheats, no mention of the Chinese collusion rings.

In regards to where is the money, ive said it before & il say it again it was mainly sitting in Payment Processor accounts in particular 1 huge 1 in Europe. Let's hope that is included in what the DOJ considers to be their 'assets'

The final sickening blow by the DOJ would be to not payback anything to ROW players as we weren't even breaking the stupid UIEGA laws by playing on the site
