I didn't think much of the content, but the production was ridiculously high quality, was like a high definition version of high def! without doubt the best quality video I have ever watch on the internet. How did you manage that if you dont mind responding.

I can't say how many episodes there will be at this point.

We shot everything on the Panasonic HDX900.

I believe we've currently shot 38 hrs of footage.

DJ Sensei went deep in the Bay 101 Shooting Star. We shot with him the whole time on the the day he busted out (I think 16th?). We may not be able to show very much of that footage due to legal issues with certain "TV pros" (you can see a brief shot from that in the trailer on the Bonus Features page). Other than that, not really.

From the original video files which Ryan provided, I used an x264 encoding script which adopted settings and techniques used by Fabio Sonnati to reduce the bitrate as much as possible but keep the quality as high as possible. The final filesize for that 30min vid was ~115mb -- I think I could get it smaller, but eventually you start getting diminishing returns on your time invested in it.

x264 is a pretty sick codec overall, great for tiny filesizes and great quality.

zeebo, what stakes do you play currently? have you had any trouble still beating the mid-stakes games as they've gotten tougher?

The docu looks a v.high quality production but i hope the average american non poker player never gets to see it.

Zeebo's comments about not wanting to help the people of america and making online poker look like a huge degenerate hobby that will send you crazy with likely large cash losses some days as well do nothing to help the legalization of poker in your country.

I really hope the other docu's are more upbeat if they ever get aired on TV or else it's a pretty terrible idea to make a series as depressing as this.

also, your top three simpsons episodes

off the top of my head:

1) bart sells his soul
2) homer the great (stonecutters)
3) homer's enemy (grimey)

very boring list but i felt compelled to be honest...

This was a concern we discussed before we started shooting Zeebo. I'd be interested to hear other people's thoughts on this.

Yeah, I've actually had a lot of trouble. I've been getting progressively lazier with my poker as the money earned isn't as important anymore. There were periods where I took like 3-4 months off and didn't do much. Now I can't really beat the medium stakes games anymore, and don't really want to devote the time to beat them again. I'm pretty close to leaving the poker world completely as of now. I hate to blame the meds I'm on, but they made me lose a bit of my edge for the sake of emotional stability. Overall it's worth it though.
