It was a lot of fun playing in Ivey's room and everyone at Aria Poker Room did a great job setting everything up and doing the usual first class job taking care of us. There's always a chance of Aguiar v Cantu III but until then I hope some other people start settling the grudges in Ivey's room, it's probably good for poker to have a good old fashioned duel once in a while!

FWIW idk how this became a grudge match, brandon's beef was really with the WSOP and I though the pokernews interview and twitter bombing was way too funny to anger me! it made for good entertainment though so that's fine by me.
Nice post, Jon. You handled yourself well all throughout.

Did the two of you make love after the match?

What a shame! Players of today have no dignity and no balls, selling 86% of your action in a HU 4 rollz/grudge match, what a bunch of slackjawed cornflakes!

Coincidentally, people proudly admit that they had a small portion of their action after they lost.
and when they win it's usually around the lines: "well I had some backers but I can't disclose the percentages and names; let me tell you this much though, I had a good chunk of my action"

The tournament scene is pathetic these days, People will play for like 5 or 10% of their own action... what's the point? Losers
11-08-2012 , 02:34 PM
Who cares about 2 droolers playing hu when they both have a minimal % of their own action?

I'm sure if you think about it a little you can work it out
11-08-2012 , 02:36 PM
Cantu comes across as being very rude and cocky
11-08-2012 , 02:48 PM
I'm not ashamed to say I don't know who either of these people are.

Sounds like fun though??? I guess?

May I ask what drew you to 2+2, let alone what drew you to create an account here?

So cantu won? Sucks for the dealers who dealt that for hours....

I think most people would be pretty happy to get the experience of playing a 10k buyin tourney where they have the opportunity to make them self a lot of money while risking nothing.

I doubt someone with such an inflated ego would sell off action unless he really had too.

for people who keep asking what's the point of this... guess many of you are unaware but aguiar often makes threads in NVG and does anything he can to get attention so he can try to stop being irrelevant. he claimed nobody has more than a 5% edge here and is doing it for fun, which essentially means publicity.
