This guy puzzles me every time i see him play, sometimes he appears super solid, other times he seems to go full spazz. How would you guys describe his playstyle, any notable leaks in his game?

he's not a great player and he knows he's not a great player. he is however far more importantly an elite game runner. And unlike 99 percent of game runners he gives a ton of action and keeps his whales happy. You don't have to be a great player to beat a bunch of whales. You just have to play better than them and have them coming back for more.

I see that he's taking part in a 250k invitational atm, despite not having any decent MTT score since 2018, and, according to rumors, he was heavily in debt a couple of years ago. Did he recently experience a hot streak in cash games, does he have very generous backers, maybe a combination of both, anyone know the deal?

Super good social skills and just good enough at poker to be winning in the lineups he creates around himself. It probably doesnt matter that hes busto or not as hes got such a good social network of rich people that he will always be able to get very lucrative backing and staking arrangements.

I doubt anyone here knows the deal, but that's the case for the vast majority of players who don't sell publicly. I don't know how you buy into tournaments

Does it really matter though? If he wants to buy into that event with his own money, he's doing that. If he wants to sell action, he just texts a couple people. If Rolodex was still a thing, JRB might have the biggest one in all of poker.

The "JRBBROKE" license plate on his Bentley might be one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
