Bobby Bellande busto - Page 2 - Poker News

Not sure if this is "new" news to anyone, but I know that Bobby use to run and open all kinds of nightclubs in LA and NY back before he started playing poker, so I would be surprised if he is completely busto. he will be back, he has to much deegan in him.

It wouldn't surprise me if he's not being completely honest about his financial situation when he's claiming to be broke. I doubt he's played on his own dime very consistently over the years though.

Maybe he really does just go from stake to stake and blow any money he makes off a score, but he doesn't look like he's missed many meals, and he seems to be able to get around the circuit pretty consistently.

I'm guessing he does a much better job of managing what money he takes out of poker a lot better than he lets on, but he's probably being pretty honest about his poker BR.

He has admitted before he has no bankroll management and plays in games far above his head [Like the person who said he plays Lowball with Baxter has mentioned]. This is not surprising, he basically sucks ***** for buyins to the next 5-10k.

In 2007 at the bellagio WPT championship, I was playing a cash game and at the table next to me, bobby was trying to drum up a stake. As he's holding about $3.5k in chips like his life depends on it, he was declaring to (i think) david oppenheim that he was "at least a 2-1 favorite over the field".

I have no idea which way he meant it, but I genuinely almost fell over laughing.
