Much respect to Provo; he handled the situation with a lot of honor and courage.

I can't imagine how frightening that would've been to be in that dealer's position. I would've skipped town.
How were bellagio dealers involved?

I wonder what happened to the two chips he dropped on the floor.

it was 1 bellagio dealer....

accused robber befriends dealer and says he wants to come up on some big cash and asks how easy it would be to rob some 25k and 5 k chips.

heist happens and the accused robber who complained about being broke before shows up with high denomination chips...dealer gets curious and asks if he was responsible for heist. accused robber denies and claims he was joking.

then accused robber asks to meet dealer in the bathroom and also asks him to go to dinner because he has a "present" for him. dealer is afraid of what accused robber might do to him and declines invitations.

From December 14th, 2010 until January 19th 2011 Carleo has been rated on 18 different days and has lost approximately $105,000. There Bellagio records indicate a significant increase in his rated play since the robbery. Anthony Carleo lost approximately $72,000 on December 31st, 2010 alone.
I guess even if the B couldn't catch the guy that they would be on target to rob it all back before the end of the year.

I don't think he was losing it in the pit. Which might help explain why poker players were not eager to turn him in.

How can anyone be so clueless. He was back at the B spewing large amounts of chipz. Living at the B on a comped room. Even after he told the dealer of his robbery plot.Really?

Glad this guy got caught before he killed someone. He was armed and dangerously clueless.

If you wanna rob and get away with it, you better own the casino not play at it.

Dude, I don't know.

More importantly, is it "Shan-ee-ack" or "shan-ni-ack"?

This guy lived just minutes from Suncoast. The address in the arrest report is off of Rampart just north of Summerlin Pky. The rumor I heard was that there was an unusually large NL game the night of the robbery there. Knowing now that he was a higher stake poker player I would guess that he got tipped off and dropped by. I can't see how it could have been a coincidence.

The report shows Suncoast was the only other casino he was gambling in after the robberies. Charges there must be coming shortly. The report doesn't mention much about Suncoast but after all of this came out it is hard to think there are any other suspects.

"And, of course, everyone went wild with comparisons to “Ocean’s Eleven,” a film which details a highly complex heist at Bellagio."

"While George Clooney and Brad Pitt’s characters brought panache to ripping off a casino, there was nothing sexy about a plain-ol’ stickup"

i wonder who they were cross referencing

Could be a movie, most likely a comedy.
