The law always tells you they will protect you but when it comes to arrest reports they are public documents. BS! No worries man. I don't think you have to worry about anyone of us on 2+2 coming to your home town.

No shame in giving up a scumbag like that.

There are a couple of things about this story that I keep thinking about.

First, his stupidity and greed. He might have actually been able to get away with it if he didn't get so greedy. Aside from telling lots of people and trying to sell them to random people on the internet....to suddenly play as a rated player, show a $100k loss, but cash out $200k? And for what? comped room and food? How sad that he ran out of non-cranberry chips already. It sounded like he was getting increasingly desperate and people were starting to fear for their lives, but not that many people came forward.

And it also it seems like a lot of people in the poker community knew about this from Todd Brunson's tweet. Did they not tell out of their personal safety? Or because they didn't care because he was spewing chips at the poker table?

Anyway, kudos to Provo. You did a good deed. You probably saved people's lives.

I take from T. Brunson tweet about this guy being the worst kept secret in Vegas as local people and Police knew this guy was involved. The Fed's almost to a fault do a great job giving you maximum rope to hang your self. This guy was under 24hr surveillance the moment his named first surfaced.

The report is about 25 pages long...

Great job, provotrout.

Keep in mind you will surely be called as a witness if there is a trial. The defense lawyer will probably read everything you post under this screen name on 2+2 and see if there is anything they could twist to embarrass you or damage the prosecution's case. So just watch what you say IMO.

Thanks for the support. Kind of a weird spot to be in. Las Vegas Sun is running a story with all the info I supplied to Bellagio security, cell #, emails, 2p2 -> email references, ip adresses (which I traced via emails to his dads home IP address-not las Vegas PD as stated in the report), etc. Should be a little more info than in the police report.

Though not surprised, it is kind of scary how the guy interacted with the Bellagio poker dealer.. Dude was legitimately scared for his life.

good job prov, twoplustwo always in the mix . . .

The arrest report is great reading but it says it is 75 pages long but only 23 pages are there. Is the rest of the info not public or just legal items that are standard on arrest reports?

provo this nut could come looking for you.

but he'll be charged with armed robbery so it won't happen for atleast 30 years.
02-04-2011 , 12:27 AM
Well he wasnt denied bail right.

Provotrout

You should be proud of yourself. You have been "outed" by the authorities. You took a real risk. But you did what you knew was the right thing. You are the hero in this story.

I sincerely respect you.

Provo, since you are on a roll, please take a few minutes to figure who was working with Russ Hamilton in the UB cheating scandal. Thx in advance.

True. I do have a concealed carry permit and a fair amount of shooting under my belt though. If he does try something he'd better be on point. Hopefully he cleans up his drug problem and straightens out his life.

Yeah. Exercise your carry rights. This Psycho is a true nutcase.

He's not getting out on bail. 1 charge is 15k bail and the other is a no bail hold.

It was the right thing to do and I have no regrets about it. My brother is an attorney and he basically told me to pass on the info or risk a conspiracy charge.

Beyond that the guy could have easily gone to another level and shot someone or created another, more dangerous robbery attempt.
Good old Vienna, VA, eh?
I've had a slew of drunken nights at a place named Jammin Java there. BOMBED.
02-04-2011 , 01:15 AM
Haha nice. Always thought Java was a coffee shop until seeing a shoe there in the fall. It's pretty much a club/venue though. Good times

This police report and threads relating to this story have been the most interesting things I've found on this site.

Much respect to Provo; he handled the situation with a lot of honor and courage.

I can't imagine how frightening that would've been to be in that dealer's position. I would've skipped town.
