My goal is two hundred a day...for now that is a reasonable goal that I acheive without to much risk to my bankroll.

Well pretty much all the pros have red name status which means they get 150% rakeback and an hourly as well as the 1+mm they make in the games a year. Its a pretty idiotic posting such low boundaries, how do you expect me to answer

This question is ridiculous.
There are probably tons of unemployed people making less than 10k.

But that doesn't count does it?
Because the whole idea of being a pro is itself defined by the amount of money you make.

Basically, you have a few people who make $1m+ and a lot of bums who make like $20k. The average is somewhere in the middle but im not sure where

Surely being a 'pro' means you rely on poker as 100% of your income. Not neccessarily meaning you sit at high stakes etc, sponsored and all that ****. The term is used too loosely now, esp online, and every1 seems to think when u say 'pro', it means a player who makes hundreds of thousands a year; lives the dream in Vegas, doesn't grind etc. Bullsh*t imo.

Personally, I think you can call all regular grinders on every site/live w/e stakes professionals, these guys grind for hours on end, play over a million hands a year and do not receive the recognition they deserve. I think a typical salary of a pro player playing NLHE would be in the range of 50-75k, which you can't really complain about.

Do you know what the word "salary" means?

You're talking about income, but even then its more a question of people's definition of what a "pro" is than anything else. Do you count every kid in college playing micros with a small edge, etc?

It depends on the stakes they play and their competence.

I don't have a salary I am comissioned only, and 48k a year is good for me. I set my own schedule, do what I want, and am happy.

i agree, lads a salary is a consistent wage that is not dependant on the amount of hours one does. if one works more or less than the weekly requirement it make no difference once the work is done.

think wage is better for this thread. lol

In all honesty the average is pretty close to $0 when you factor in all the 22 year old "pros" who are slowly losing their savings and only manage to get by because they simply have nothing in terms of a monthly nut. I don't think this is what the OP meant, though. In terms of true pros, it could easily be six figures (inflated obviously by the very high incomes of online multitablers who crush the game, or people who've won major events, etc).
