Even just getting affiliate links on a website and giving the audience a 10 second shout out to go there and check them out should bring in some $. If the listeners aren't willing to support their entertainment, theyre dickheads. If you can build an audience and provide entertainment, you deserve some rewards
I was just looking into upgrading the audio/video and really setting up a super GTO setup on that end similar to a professional broadcast. I'm not sure the direction I am going to go with regards to everything else yet but I don't think it will be the affiliate route.

In the world of the internet, there are models where the creator gets paid in other ways (ad revenue, sponsors, Patreon, etc). It just seems like if you love creative content, you want the creator get to get value out of it -- you want that selfishly because you want it to keep going. I want Joey and the PokerCast to find revenue streams because the content is good and I want them to feel like they have to keep doing it because how else for the Lambo payments? OK, maybe Citroën.
I think I have figured out the answer to this

I would be more than happy to ship you a shiny dollar to watch the pods.
I don't plan on charging for the full podcasts anytime soon. I also don't plan on charging for highlighted version of the podcasts but I do plan on putting together highlighted versions of every single podcast in some capacity in the near future after my epiphany tonight.

If someone was crafty enough they could produce a documentary called the Rise of Fedor with your footage alone.
My favorite part of your podcast is its randomness and the idea that just because it's Monday you aren't forcing content.
Keep up the good work!

You have provided some very hidden GTO in this post Earl

Thanks for the idea Frankie, I've never heard of Patreon but I will look into it.

I almost feel sorry for him.. It's obvious he 'wants to do good' in the world, but has no idea where to start. Sounds like he is in a pretty big personal battle right now with himself. Some things mentioned by him were very 'out there' and delusional. Reminds me a lot of ADZ's mindset, out there...
Smart guy for sure... Seems like a very nice and likable person, but I can't help but think he is delusional. This 'big picture' thing is odd.. Like wanting to have 'power', talking about 'the system', 'radical movements', etc...
I had many mixed feelings as well. It seems like in many ways he wants to do good and make a positive impact on peoples lives but really has no idea how to do it on the grand scale he thinks he should be doing it. I don't think the idea of starting small and grinding up to something bigger is very exciting to him but that is probably the most realistic way of being able to put himself in a position for that to happen. He did come off nice and likable to me as well. It is pretty hard to ignore all of the allegations and incidents that have taken place with him over the years but I'm not really sure how that impacts the way that I personally view him.
I didn't fully understand/comprehend some of the things he was getting into because I really don't ever think about them but I'm sure there is a large subsection of the population who do. Those people are probably not the people watching my podcasts or in the poker world. I did find some of the things discussed pretty interesting but I'm just not passionate enough about them to really have a viewpoint on them one way or the other.
My biggest desire for wanting to have Sorel on was to find out just what type of person can be involved in so many scandals over the years but still have a pretty good standing in the poker world for the most part. What I suspected going in was very much confirmed after talking with him. I do wish him well and hope he can turn some type of corner that we spoke of.

They would charge like $25 per hour for a live translation, so I guess having the best 6max NL players is now possible, I would snap donate for the translation if we could get like Trueteller on... gotta be flexible Papi
