I'd guess Lamb is probably only playing 90% or so due to % swaps with his balla buddies. If Staszko really is playing mostly himself then damn, dude has heart

Don't know about Lamb, but can't imagine he needs to sell shares with his previous results.

P.S. - Gogogogogogogog Benba!

everything makes a ton of sense, gives me even more reason to root for MARTIN!!!!

The best thing about Hellmuth's commentary is how excited he gets. That counts for something. Yes, the reads and strat are gross, but the enthusiasm is entertaining. OB is the **** and I wish they'd have him on again. As for the chopping debate, I know in 1995 Dan Harrington offered the table a chop when they were 6-handed and everyone gave him the fu, and he went on to win.

as i already said somewhere he stated in a czech interview that he only sold 3% to a friend

so who's on instead of Hellmuth? I kinda liked him, as another poster pointed out, he gets really really excited which is contagious, him and antonio bickering was rather entertaining as well.

I like Hellmuth, because even when he's bad, he's entertainingly bad.

Just to be clear, deals are allowed at the WSOP. Moneymaker notably tried to make a deal with Farha when it got HU. Since then because of the pressence of online poker no rumours of deal making have ever surfaced. I personally think there is 3 reasons for this.

1. People are much less likely to do deals when they don't know each other.
2. At higher buyins players are more confident in their playing abilites ego or not.
3. 1st place is worth more than the prize money stated, because of the sponsorship and exposure it brings.

He bounced himself, I heard that he was invited to drink DOM with Justin Bieber.

i really hate to be that guy, but it's live on espn at 9 right? they arent gonna show the same table as sunday are they?

At the beginning of the broadcast they mentioned giving second place money to top 6 and Heinz rejected it. So they already were talking about it. I wouldn't do a deal. I already have 4 mil guaranteed I'll flip for another 4.

sources? everything you're saying makes sense, but I'm still convinced players find a good way to deal given the money at stake.

If the tournament organisers allow and arrange the deal and the agreed payouts then fine, but where it is on you to do the deal and sort out payments later, you would have to trust the other person or person pretty well to even consider is unless you get lawyers involved to write up a contract etc, which I assume in most cases is not feasible in the time available.

estimated time to start?

As some have stated, ignoring Hellmuth's antics away from simply being an announcer, Hellmuth is very contagious as one. If you simply focus on that, he's enthused, eager to watch, and always paying attention. Negreanu and him both show through the work they put in researching players that they really love what they do.

I thought they would kick Hellmuth from the booth today... his commentary was very biased and he talked A TON of **** about Lamb. Very unprofessional.

I guess the reason poker games continue to be good is that the average player can't figure out how to add & subtract time zones.

this is so true, we're all biased against phil for one reason or another (and obviously there are plenty of reasons). but he's a good fit for this, if not for us, than for ESPN.
