account verification

Imagine you are traveling on a different continent and want to play a casual poker game in the mean time. The poker site asks to verify your account and wants contact details.

I am moving from hostel to hostel. Can my account verification be declined because I change addresses every few weeks?

Re: Zoo Chat March - Quick Questions & Random Posts Go Here

Sounds like a good question for the poker site.

give them your home address. you don't have any utility bills to your hostel address anyway

Join online poking with new strategy and Make more $$$$

Usually, poker online spaces create the bulk of their income via four techniques. Initial, right now there is the house " rake ". Rake is actually collected coming from most genuine money ring game pots. The actual rake is actually normally computed because a new percent regarding the pot primarily based on any sliding level and capped from some maximum price. Each and every internet poker room decides a unique rake framework. Because the expenditures with regard to working an internet poker desk are usually more compact than those for running a live online poker table, rake in most online poker rooms is much smaller than its brick and mortar counterpart. Hypocrtical behaviour by internet pokersites and sportsbooks. Is security the real reason??

Hi, I would like to share with you a behaviour that I do find unacceptable. I recently opened an account at a sportsbook/pokersite and deposited there my money.

I did deposit my funds instanlty without any real problems.

As soon as I found out that I wasn't satisfied with the games offered -the reason could be anyone to be honest- I decided to withdraw them within the first 2 days.

By this moment my account was frozen and I was asked to upload a few personal documentation regarding my ID, adress etc., bank statements, of great importance in order to get my account back and withdraw MY OWN funds in the name of security.

So far so good, it's good when they are worried about security and websites do want to tackle money laundering and other illegal activities. HOWEVER, isn't this hypocritical as I was allowed to upload my finds INSTANTLY and wasn't asked for the same procedure when I was signing up with the website.

I mean they are concerned about security when money leave their bank accounts but at the same time they are not when the same funds are deposited to their accounts?

I have been really frustrated bc I have my funds blocked there for a number of days. Is this a standard (hypocritical) procedure by all websites or it's just this one?

Moreover, I think there should be some kind of regulation that makes the rules and the size of the websites' bank accounts.

I'm sharing my frustration with you and I want your opinions on the issue and I'm posting it here bc I hope someone could see it and do sth about it.

Couldn't be more standard.

Is it annoying? Obviously, but would you rather fish have to submit ID before being able to deposit?

Re: Discussion Thread re PokerStars Player Reps Report. Feb 2012

If anyone hasn't already heard Full Tilt are recruiting for new staff and for the first time it's looking increasingly likely that FT2 is coming soon.

It was a shame that Stars made it so hard for its most loyal customer base over the past few months , unfortunately for many regs the competition out there was not the greatest.

I have played at Stars for 8 years now but my loyalty is non existent at this moment. Given a good deal from FTP I think it would be time to jump ship.

I'm in the exact same position. 8 years of play and I'm familiar with Stars but I longer feel loyal. I'll likely try to keep Supernova for this year but if the VIP FPP sats to Live Events don't return like they did in prior years I will likely move all my play to FT2 with the exception of Sats to Live Events.
