Re: Zoo Chat March > June - Quick Questions & Random Posts Go Here

Ah sorry, I did miss that, although I'd still think you'd want to email them and see what they have to say.

I believe someone posted a link to the thread that explains how to post pics, but if for some strange reason you can't do this, I suppose you could email them to me - address is in my profile.

Play Money On Stars

Can US residents/players still access pokerstars and use play money tables. Serious question (learning some of the non-conventional games etc)

Looking to practice hands very basics etc of some of the 10 game mix

Oh ok . Makes sense. I knew i ran across that option before but couldnt remeber how. I dont play on the ".net" site since it doesn't have a hh and other available features. Thanks for the info.

Pokerstars account hacked?

Hi all,

Just wondering this has happened to anyone.

I just tried to log onto PS and was met with the following message:

This has happened before but I had been logged in on another system of mine.

I doubled checked and I am definitely not logged in.

I have emailed support and am waiting on a reply.

Edit: Stars responded extremely promptly and apparently I was suffering from a "hanging logout" and they resolved matters.

Advertising on sites

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post (if so move to appropriate place).

Can anyone suggest good advertising mediums similar to the ones like youtube where you have to watch a 30 sec ad before you watch your vid and others like you have to type a message before you access any threads/vids similar to Solve Media.

Grinding on the european continent as a UK player

I'm thinking about spending a month or 2 over summer in either Amsterdam or Berlin- both of which I know pretty well. My primary income is poker- I grind sng's on stars.

Obviously I want to grind while I'm out there- just wondering if I'll even be able to log in to the .com client in Amsterdam etc- because I know that Holland are on the .eu thing.

If anyone catches my drift some clarification would be brilliant!

Thanks

Optimal currency management?

Is there an accepted "optimal" way of managing currency in an online poker account?

Are there currencies that are better to hold than others in general?

Is it worth concerning yourself over the day-to-day differences in currency values when managing a bankroll on poker websites that allow you to keep funds in multiple currencies? and to what extent?

Should you convert currencies? When?...

Etc, etc..

Any opinions or knowledge of existing research or thoughtful discussion related to this matter?

I know all the skins are mainly the same in terms of cashouts - are there any with their own processor thats quicker? Thanks

Re: Optimal currency management?

If you can predict when and what currency is favorable, you'd be making more money trading currencies than playing poker(good luck with that), so no, it is not worth giving even the least bit of thought on what currency to keep your bankroll in.

This.

The only thought you should be giving to your currencies is what will result in the smallest amount of conversion vig.
