So I got an adapter for my ps2 controller and I installed drivers and am able to mess with it in the control panel->game controllers area and it works fine messing with the movement and vibration calibration but the controller wont move the mouse cursor or work in video games. Anyone have a clue what I can do about it?

edit: This is for vista and now I remember reading something online about something where the converter doesnt work right automatically with vista but I forget what the solution to it is.

Why was the user pokercontrols banned??? His only post didn't look out of line.

I think it would be usefull to have him discussing the Poker Controller, we can make suggestions like the X5 button, almost no one makes a bet of 5BBs pre-flop. Or the buttons APB, WBB, SIT OUT, LOBBY, they can be replaced by much more usefull buttons.
I think there should be at least two kind of buttons:
* Pre-flop buttons: This can have buttons like 3BBs or 4BBs.
* Post-flop buttons: This can have buttons like 1/2 pot, 2/3 pot and pot (pot is already there).

I was curious myself and glad he was able to answer the questions.

Most logical reason is because his name was the same as his site's URL. 2p2 frowns on this.

Not $20, it's going to be around $80.
The Wireless Poker Controller, along with the Software, Batteries, USB Cable and everything else you need to get started will be priced from $79.99 RRP.

It seems like a good product idea, but they should had spoke with some poker players before doing the buttons. Now they are offering a product that has buttons for Pot (ok), AI (ok), 2xPot (?), 3xPot (???) and 5xPot (??????).
The 2X, 3X and 5X should had probably been like 1/2 pot, 2/3 pot and 3/4 pot, or 1/3 pot, 1/2 pot and 2/3 pot.
The buttons now suck.

BTW, the page says to register to win one of the 1000 free wireless poker controlers, they should post the list somewhere before the product launches, unless the 1000 free was not true and in this case I'll never buy it even if they have the proper buttons.

They explain the functionality in these instructions: http://www.pokercontrols.com/custom_files/PokerController_ButtonFunctionalityPDF.pdf:

The X3 button multiplies the bet by three times the starting amount. Each time the X3 button is pressed, it will continue to multiply the bet by three.
That would probably work fine once you got used to it. However, it'd be silly not to have the software allow customization. For example, i'd want to disable that Tilt button in case i accidentally pressed the button. I would also likely pair it with my wireless 10-Key Number pad.

They claim to have partnered directly with PokerStars, FullTilt, and Ladbrokes, so that means that one would hope the integration with the software would be better maintained than some of the AHK solutions. It also means that one will probably be able to use FPPs/FTPs to purchase the item. At 10,000 FTPs ($49.99), i very well might give it a shot, since i'm prone to repetitive stress pain.

Defiantly agree there is no plausible reason to not allow for customization. I doubt the programming would be difficult and it will help your product sell tons more. It would be an option for the players who either dont know how to setup the wireless controllers or don't want to waste their precious time on it.

That's the point, these three buttons 2X 3X and 5X are just absurd, that space could have given a great use and now they are wasted buttons, when there is certainly need for the "reasonable ammounts buttons" that are not there in the control.

Ergonomics typically. I use a standard and a vertical mouse, so I can switch between the 2 to give my hand/wrist/forearm some time in different positions, to try and reduce RSI.

Last edited by fozzy71; 05-06-2009 at 04:07 PM. Reason: Not that it does much good - wrist/forearm still ache pretty good. :(

fits perfectly in your hand and you can play for hours without pain in the hand

A properly set up PS3 pad or Xbox360 wireless with AHKs or alternatives is pretty much perfect.

lol. Guessing you are defending the scammer for a reason. Just saying your first post is something like that. I would like to place a prop bet on the odds of him not being affiliated in any way with the manufacturer.
