I don't want to pay ANY fees to get my money. $3 to epassporte was too much. $35 is un****ingbeleivable.

Yes. Unless they start paying interest on my money, I expect no fees to transfer money.

eh, $35 on a $9k check is only .38%

that's great compared to having to pay 3%-4% in vig to get someone to take my cake money.

there's a reason the games are easier then FTP or PS.

you can't have your cake and eat it too

See, I think you're going to have a problem then. As a business, I believe their point-of-view is "I expect to charge a fee to transfer money." Somehow I doubt the American Red Cross is going to put online poker players on their list of people in need.

(I know, I know, eChecks on other sites...)

If they want to remain competitive their point of view should be - my competitors are doing it for free so I guess I can't really charge $35 for it. I will be withdrawing all of my cake money as soon as the rakeback hits in May unless there is a reasonable way to make regular withdrawals. Its really too bad since I like Cake.

Successfully withdrew $400 from CakePoker -> UseMyWallet, took about 36 hours to hit QuickTender account.

Guys: Its been five days since EP pulled out and we have a new option to get our money. Admittedly its not a great option, but its a start. I am sure they will be working on other options in order to stay competetive. Patience please.

In order to stay competitive, cutting their check charge would be a start. Something that can be done instantly.

Are there other poker networks that use Quicktender beyond the cake network? I was curious if those networks had better options (like echecks) in addition to QT for reasons I bet y'all can guess.

Are you then cashing out to your bank? Losing 10% to fees is brutal.

Problem is most sites make you withdraw the way you deposit. Thus, sliding funds around via UMW will not help you avoid their high withdrawal fees.

some primas use it and some there to bank wire which is a little cheaper since you only pay what your bank will charge.

I might cash out and just swallow the fees because the money I had in Cake was originally deposited from a debit card that also has a high fee for bank transfers. That debit card got money onto it because it was an affliliate payment from a poker network where it was my only choice of how to get paid. The only reason I put it onto Cake was so that I could maybe reduce my overall fee for an eventual cashout. Mission accomplished because I already had $200 in QT from a couple small prima site cashouts.

I might just sit on it for awhile and see if any other options open up.

A possibility is to deposit all of it back onto one of those prima sites, play a few smallish games, then ask for a check (free according to their site).

35 per ck flat fee, cks now available up to 9k. Checks cut once weekly. Lead time 2-3 weeks from time cks being processing.
UMW charges 30 flat fee + w/e your bank charges you + w/e 3rd party charges may be incurred. No limits. Lead time to bank is rumored to be one week once requested at umw.

Can people post successful UMW transactions and time frames? Anyone's hit UMW and then also hit their bank?

Check requested on 4/16/2008 for $2500. Received it today in Florida, USA on 5/01/2008. So it seems 2 weeks/10 business days should be expected, not that terrible.

Epassporte caught everyone off guard but every other site has something in place other RedStar. Before this I was absolutely pleased with RedStar and now I couldn't be more disgusted.

Players need to keep hounding RedStar until we get a real answer other than "As of right now we have no payment solution for US players. We are looking at alternatives and players only have our current payment solutions at their disposal. We will keep you informed as we figure it out."

$35 for a check? what a joke! Other sites send checks for free.

What Cake is doing is known as 'Highway Robbery'
Get your money off and play at a better site, the owners of Cake are basically robbing you blind. No respect for their players at all.
