Real Deal Poker - We'll Be Right Back After These Extensive Renovations [2011] Real Deal Poker - We'll Be Right Back After These Extensive Renovations [2011]

Just looked at their website and it says they are set to launch in March. I remember Real Deal being flamed to hell a while ago on these forums, but cannot remember why exactly.

Whats so bad about using actual decks of shuffled cards and not RNG's---some of which have not been audited for 7 years (hello pokerstars) in online poker? (A video is posted on their website of the shuffler in action)

The only problems I can foresee are potential jam ups in the shuffling machines, and maybe getting fewer hands per hour...but this is depending on how exactly the operation will be run...how many machines they have running vs how many tables they have.......

I think its pretty interesting, looking forward to the launch myself.

Thoughts? DIAWF?

Yea, and everyone has an interest in playing 1k hands or w/e. Hopefully a site like this will attract recreational players and keep 24 tabling nits like you away.

It is designed to elimate bots from their games????

Do they even understand how bots work?

To be honest I actually think it is less secure than the rng's because there is a video feed of the cards which can potentially be cracked. Also really easy for a rouge employee to be a superuser in the game.

I really think it will be considerably less secure than the current options. They might attract from rigtards until they realise realdeal is rigged too.

lol this site is so ghetto.

"A unique deck is sent to a game table and the player with the dealer button "must" exercise a Cut/No Cut option prior to the initiation of game play. This provides a "reshuffle" of the deck immediately prior to game and assures that the "players" actually determine the result of every game."

Can someone explain why must and players are in quotes? I mean an explanation other than "the creators of this website don't understand quotation marks".

Spinning the cards around in that little drum doesn't look anything like washing the cards like a dealer would do. Just shuffle the stupid cards and be done with it.

I really wanna see what kind of rake they need to charge to cover all that extra overhead.

This method is probably more susceptible to being rigged by a dishonest operator than regular online poker. But aside from that, what is going to happen is that as soon as their audience finds that the distribution of cards is exactly the same as any other site, and unusual bad beats happen just as much, their marketing hook will be gone and they will die.

This is really bad for poker. If the fish don't believe it can be rigged, it will lead to the realisation that they just suck at poker.

Smears is back?!?!?
lololololololololololololololololol
How are they going to have 100 decks being shuffled? Do they pay dealers to sit there? Well that will bring the Raketards out as real deal's rake will = B&M rake. Do I have to wait in between hands for the dealer to shuffle and cut? Or will there be 2 decks per table? Wake the F*CK up.

They sent me a nasty email threatening criminal charges for "impeding commerce" when I made a post on here correctly highlighting that realdealpokertour.com was (at the time) flagged by Google as a malicious attack website.
