Depends on what criteria you use to evaluate what "best" means. They are respectively the 2nd and 3rd largest offshore poker sites serving US players.

Looking for a poker site that has the most traffic with lots of loose players? What would be the largest site serving US players?

Just wondering if anyone from South Carolina is here and has a trusted site for some internet poker? I know of bet online, and Ignition but seems payouts seem to be an issue from what I have read. Is this still an issue today? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

Take all your money off ignition and move to WPN... it has really grown over the last 6-8 months. Another million gtd this sunday, no where else on US soil can you play for 200k online.

maybe i'm bias because I always ran bad on bodog/bovada/ignition anyway

There is all sorts of information available about this topic online. A good old fashioned search would probably find it. I've found some links that might be helpful to you right here on 2+2:

I cannot find any evidence of the existence of a "Chico Poker." Can anyone tell me what website I should be looking for?

Hello US Players!

Do you know which network offers 180 Player SnG? Or is that a unique game format offered only by pokerstars?

Thanks!

None of the offshore US poker sites offer 180 man SNGs. Good news is that many of the regular tournaments will be similar in size :P

Hi, I'm interested in getting back into poker after six years away...Are there any fixed limit games on any of these sites where I can at least 2-table? Rakeback and/or HUD on any of these sites? Thanks.

Your only real option where there will always be two tables of fixed limit is Ignition. You might get 2 tables of FL on WPN much of the time too, but the problem there is that the two games would be something like $0.50/$1 and $30/60 at the same time heh.

There's no rb on Ignition and very limited HUD options because players at the site are anonymous with no table names and thus HUDs only work on a per-session basis (no long-term tracking of players).

After I made that post, I was informed by some LHE players that the FLHE games on Ignition have slowed down since they implemented "quick-seat" technology last week. QS is basically turning online seating into the way live casino seating works... i.e. you put your name on a list and get called to an open seat when available... i.e. no seat selection.

I haven't played LHE on Ignition since they implemented QS so I can't personally comment one way or the other. Hopefully the initial reaction to QS, if negative for FLHE, will reverse. It's been a very short amount of time so I'm crossing my fingers and praying to the Poker Gods that this dip is just an anomaly.

I play poker on the side but its always live at the casino or home games, never really messed around with online. I've been hearing about SCOOP and other satellites and wanted to give it a shot at the low buy-ins.

My issue is most sites say you can't deposit any cash since you live in the U.S, so im just curious how everyone buys into these games. Ive downloaded PokerStars, and hit a brick wall.

Sorry for my incompetence with online poker, just getting my foot in the door and hoping someone could let me know how to get started, thanks

You are in the United States. PokerStars does not operate in the United States, with the one exception being New Jersey. Even if you lived in New Jersey, you'd be playing on PSNJ and not PS global. PSNJ and PSG do NOT share players/tables/etc. Thus, you still wouldn't have access to SCOOP.

There are other online poker sites you can play on. That is what this thread is for. Check the first post in this thread to learn more about your options.

Off the top of my head, you can probably play on Chico Poker Network or Winning Poker Network which both have American players.

I think ACR is a good place to play but for best action better to see sites from Asia and Middle East.I play at the biggest site of Israel lately with no issues at cash outs. Also some sites from china and korea very good games as well.Of course there are cases that players did not get payed but thats the minority. One way is not to leave big amounts in the sites.Thats what i do.I think poker is not a fast way to make money any more if you play on pokerstars.i cant win there any more.Small sites is the way to win big today.glgl

There are sites outside the US like Israel that they offer very good hu plo games and you can play from US as well. From the time that pokerstars(8 months ago) left from Israel two companies started to offer hu plo games with very good action.

So I'm an Irish student doing a j1 in New York for the summer and I'm curious as to whether or not I can play poker online here. I'm 19 years old so of legal age n Ireland, but I wasn't sure what the story was in America as I know 21 is the age for lots of things here. I researched a little nline and found an article that said:
Is Online Poker Legal In New York?

New Yorkers who do not want to find a live poker room can very easily turn to the Internet in order to find a way to hit the felts without having to leave home. If you want to play online poker, know that you do not have to worry about the law as there is nothing that has made it illegal for players to participate.

I'm pretty sure I can play (if it matters, I play on PokerStars) but can someone please confirm as I'm trying to avoid breaking the law too much while I'm here XD thanks.

Well no pokerstars here in NY yet. Also, it is not illegal to play poker in NY it's just not regulated. So your only option in NY really is ACR (Americas Card Room). For some reason Ignition doesn't allow NY enrollments. But I would do your own research on cashing out because ACR requires info to verify your acct prior to cashing out. And you being not American in America could tie you up.
Been a while but, I believe I sent pic of ID (or passport for you probably), some kind of bill to verify your address and a pic of the card I used to deposit with. (prepaid western union mastercard)
But gl man.

EDIT:: Actually, if you are able to set up and verify your ACR acct from home it would make it waaaaaaaay easier. Then just use bitcoin to withdraw
