IMHO, it's clear what is being done... there is a "public position" and a "private position." Politicians use that sort of thing all the time. Where publicly, like their website and this thread, they state one thing... when in reality, they may do something completely different.

I spoke with two different live chat associates. I also have an account that was suspended because of my location and was just now unsuspended. I also just went through the account verification process where I sent them my Maryland drivers license and my Maryland utility bill. I got an email back this morning saying my account is now fully verified to play. So I think that kind of clarifies it for me. But I see how the website could cause confusion.

The reality is, when I was given an invitation to WPN, I verified with WinningTD and WPN Rep via PM that I (a Maryland resident) could actually play and cash out on ACR. They both assured me I could and recommended bitcoin for deposit and cash out options. As I noted in their forum other Maryland residents are scoring some nice cashes and I've yet to see one post about any difficulty cashing out.

A couple years ago I played 25nl - 100nl on Carbon then I took a break for a couple years. How are the games now at Carbon? I live in California and I'm looking for a good site for me to play. What site do you guys recommend me to play at?

Yes, but you're missing my point, and perhaps I'm failing to make it subtly, so I'll try openly. There is likely a very good reason that they say one thing publicly and do another privately. And until that changes, I don't think we should counter their public information on their website.

When is PokerStars going to be available in NV? I am not big on WSOP, not enough players but I do like that they do not allow HUDS.

I want to start getting into online poker. I'm assuming a softer field is better for me. I know basics of the game but am by no means a "good player" yet. I live in FL, should I start on ACR or 888 or ignition or what? Looking to probably play microstakes and just improve and study the game.

Anyone, please suggest a few sites to check out, any tools/software that can help (hearing about trackers or HUD, idk where to get these), and any tips to get into online poker.

Thanks!

If the operators who are already there have anything to say about it, the answer is never.

888 isn't an option for your. Of the two remaining sites you have asked about, ACR and Ignition, Ignition is the softer.

With regards to what sites to check out, any site in the OP is available in Florida.

With regard to software tools, most aspiring online players will get their hands on tracking software and heads up displays in order to improve their game. There are many of them. Poker Tracker, Holdem Manager, Holdem Indicator, DriveHUD, Jivaro, etc. Not all programs work on all sites, so you may want to figure out which site you are going to play before deciding on what tracker/hud you wish to use.

I think PS becomes eligible to apply for a NV license in February 2018. Keep in mind that it's not a guarantee of anything.

Would you recommend ignition to start? I like how its anonymous so I dont have to worry about people who use HUDs and dont need one myself. I plan on playing until I know more about online poker and am good enough to move onto ACR and get HUD, rakeback, and a tougher field.

Is this a good plan?

There's nothing wrong with your plan. Good luck.

I'm looking to start playing on Ignition. What's the best site to sign up through?

Thanks in advance

There are very few perks that Ignition allows affiliates to offer. You won't find rakeback, because Ignition boots affiliates offering rakeback on the first offense and they lose all clients, all unpaid commissions, etc. Thus no legitimate affiliate is going to take that risk.

You may find some affiliates willing to give a free piece of software, or a training video course, an extra deposit bonus, or something along those lines. However, as I said, affiliates are extremely limited in what they can offer to players. So in most cases, you're only going to find the default offers.

I've never heard of any issues with PT4 on any of the WPN skins. I see them used on True, ACR, BCP by some of the popular streamers.

Ignition is very soft on their MTT's compared to ACR. There's a very popular and quite successful gal that streams on Ignition. When I've watched her and when she comments on the players there, it's pretty easy to agree how soft it is.

HUD's can and are used on Ignition. Granted for "short term" play, ie' MTT's, ring game sessions. Just can't gather stats on you personally from table to table, day to day of course.

HUD's are the #1 arsenal for online poker and IMO opinion a must for multi-tabling. With all due respect why wouldn't you want one, specifically for studying your own play and leaks.

If you're worried of the villains knowing your every move, then you need to change up your game or they will pattern and exploit you easily. Again, hence my point of a must to use one for online. It's legal and nothing wrong with it.

When you join ACR, make sure to sign up for rake-back, that's a must and a great benefit. GL sir!

Three things:

1] Which streamer are you talking about?
2] Not everyone should use a HUD. Those that don't know how to use one can actually do more damage than good trying to work with one. I also know plenty of very successful players, some making 6 figs+ on Ignition alone, who do NOT use a HUD of any kind.
3] Rakeback isn't always the way to go on ACR or Winning Poker Network in general. it's better for low volume players, but certainly not for all players.

What's the potential alternative for higher volume players?

Not a single place runs these games with any consistency. In fact, only one of the smallest offshore sites out there even offers HORSE cash games. That site is SWCPoker and it's an all bitcoin site. Bitcoin in, bitcoin denominated games, bitcoin out.
