I guess it depends on what you mean by bad shape. Given that there is only a fraction of the US players online that there used to be, and that there are so many sites US players can't play on, I think most people would say that it isn't good right now. But of course, as you're pointing out, that doesn't mean there aren't still viable options for US players.

From what it sounds like...

If I live in Arizona, I am deciding between Chico + Grand + WPN.

Does this sound right?

Sounds like Merge isn't very active.

I'm reading reviews of cash games and STTs. Seems mixed.

There's also Pai Wang Luo, and Horizon networks to choose from in Arizona.

Pretty sure they designed the site to look this way on purpose heh.

Cool. So Chico is BetOnline.. Would you say that it would be better than Ignition since they still have the sports betting people making their way to the tables? Also is Ignition Anonymous? I wouldn't mind trying Ignition if it plays the same as old bovada (even with the infamous bovada fish) but if not, I'll try BetOnline

Also, id love to find stud or mixed games like horse tournament or even cash games, what does swc have to offer for that stuff? I'm assuming no where else has anything like that, except if the stud plays on acr

Thanks
Carbon has started accepting US players again. They run a nightly stud h/l
As well as a nightly HORSE.

SWC runs a 12 game and 8 game each night but traffic is super low. Usually less than 6 players in the 12 game. But if you would like to learn open face Chinese, you can play for as little as one cent with no rake!

Downside for carbon is silly 5% cash out fee.

Keep in mind that there are sports bettors on Bodog, in 9 countries, and on Bodog88, in 2 countries. There also casino players from 12 countries (USA included). All these rooms share liquidity so

That's awesome news. I don't know the details but I think there was some big fiasco of some sort with carbon a while back? Anyone know if these guys will pay cashouts?

There was a number of big fiascos. They had numerous streaks of slow payouts. People swore up and down they were going to fail. They always pulled through and paid out the players.

Now, the latest fiasco was that they shut off the games to new US players. Then they shut down affiliates ability to send new players. Then they broke all of the "lifetime contracts" they had with affiliates. And those people... those people they have stolen from.

I was on another forum that had an ad for a $5 no deposit promotion at Ignition. Old ad?

I know that Ignition used to be Bovada so I was wondering if it looks the same when it comes to the tables. Bovada was not my favorite site because it looked unpolished.

Hi - forgive me for not trying to comb threads for the questions I have. I've been playing online for about 4 months now. I have a Mac and live in New York. I started on betonline but couldn't find a way to get rakeback so I switched to sportsbetting.ag and now get rakeback. I have Iholdemindicator for a HUD but its obviously way less helpful than PT or HEM. Don't have a way to store info or HH/HH converter.

Does anyone know if there are any current better options for a US based Mac user? I'd like to be able to use a better HUD and be able to review hands. Thanks.

Ryan

Use some of your rakeback to buy a cheap PC.

1] Old ad
2] It was free $5 for casino, not poker
3] Ignition uses the exact same poker client/software Bovada did.

Yeah I will have to reconsider the logistics of that I guess. I travel a lot so having two computers is not ideal. What would that allow me? PT4, more stored info, HH converter?

Those things but also access to all sites and clients that work better.

If you have a good macbook you might be able to run a Windows VM instead.

What sites/software would you recommend if I did get a different PC?

I have a brand new MacBook Pro I bought a few months ago. What is a windows VM? As you can tell I'm not a computer expert

Off topic- I'd like to remind you that NY has a decent chance of passing a bill this year that would regulate online poker. If that's something you want, I suggest you take 30 seconds (seriously, that's all it takes) and make a phone call to your elected officials in support of online poker regulation.

Pokerscout's numbers certainly don't agree with your observations.

Windows VM (virtual machine) is where you use a program to run Windows on your MAC. This will allow you to play on Windows only poker sites.

I am not a computer expert either and this is my understanding of the concept.
