Anyone have any success stories or suggestions on where to deposit? I'm jonesing to waste away my Sunday playing poker and it's just declined e-mail after declined e-mail. This whole situation is ****ing depressing.
Buy GDMP or do a bank transfers/trade in the internet poker transfer/trade thread, Pretty easy way to do things these days.

Also, recently I bought an amazon gift card and traded that for cash on merge, you can use your credit card so its kind of like the same thing(just no deposit bonus).

I've used Visa and Mastercard successfully recently. If your card is approved for international transactions it should probably work.

"Pretty easy way" is quite the stretch considering it lacks the convenience of being able to do it whenever, wherever, and on my own terms. There's no flexibility anymore and it's all about jumping through hoops and trusting strangers. I can't jump that high and I don't trust people.

I read somewhere of people having success with the likes of a Wal-Mart VISA gift card and using it to load funds. Can anyone confirm this?

The Wal-Mart Visa card I think you're talking about it just a Wal-Mart branded Greendot card. Those might work but I've never personally used them. The key to having the highest chance of your deposits approved is making sure your card is approved for international transactions.

I don't know about Merge but I'm surprised you've had an issue depositing on Lock. I've deposited there a bunch of times to keep my deposit bonus going.

I don't have a MAC so not really informed it's just what I've read around the forums. I don't think there are many other options for MAC users.

Here I am recently unemployed and bored, I played a lot of poker 3-4 years ago but quit. I'm looking for sites with good bankroll builder freerolls.. I've started out at Cake though I understand if I ever were to try and cash out that could be a problem. I played a lot at Bodog but they don't have much in the way of freerolls. My poker stars account seems to be locked out or something, I can't play there, at least not without giving them a call. How about Carbon Poker? Any other suggestions?

Also, in an unrelated nugget, does Poker Tracker 2 upgrade to 3, or do you have to pay? Is there a way to just use version 2, or is it obsolete?

I've been playing on ACR for a couple months. I chose them for reputation (based on discussion found in these threads) and for simple withdrawals and deposits. Being able to get on the site and start playing with a Visa card was great. I'm planning to try BCP next, and I'm curious to see how their traffic compares. Also, I'm hoping to play in Poker Maximus II, which is the largest tournament series I've seen that is available for US players. Definitely not an advertiser. I'm posting to try to get PM priveleges, so that I can see about setting up P2P.

Merge and that's about it. All the other us sites aren't even worth playing in (not enough traffic, horrible software, etc).

As far as software/volume goes Lock is your best option.

Sorry if there were posts about this (if so please point me in the right direction). I live in California and wanted to start playing online poker again. I am reluctant to do so since I still have money locked up on Full Tilt. I was thinking about joining Americascardroom.eu (Americas Cardroom). Does anyone living in the US have any experience depositing and also cashing out? Any Problems? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and again, sorry if this was mentioned somewhere else in another thread. Thanks!

Well I'm killing it at the casino, build a nice bankroll, very nice, also on bodog I won a freerolls about a year ago, and I cashed out 500 from a 50 dollar deposit in 3 months of grinding $10nl tlbs.... But it's tough playing without knowing who who is. I'm thinking of depositing and playing hu there, but I'm looking to expand. I'm not planing on depositing much into any site but I need the practice for my live game, so what site would you recomend for people who live in Los Angeles California, or Anaheim California ?? I tried carbon, lost my money there and I tried lock, I feel all sites have bots but I don't really care I just want to play so what site would you recomend and how long does a check take to be received and what documents for verification do they ask for? Thanks....

California people only please or if you know someone here who plays there...

I used to play on Stars before black friday and I multi-tabled the quarter games for about 100k hands and did pretty well. Anyways, this thread goes out to anyone in the US that currently plays the smaller games and can vouch on a reputable quality site to play on in this age. I've done a little research so please no links to other threads on the topic as I'm just looking for some first hand experience and recommendations thanks. Oh and I am looking to 4x + table anywhere from .05/.10 - .25/.50

Quick off-topic question: Has the Lock software recently improved or is it still the same horrible Cake software? If it did change, how does it compare to some other networks? (obv. worse than Stars but what about merge, microgaming etc.)

Try cake? The software is still the same, its not super fancy but decent when you get used to it. Furthermore, the games are super soft so it compensates.

Poker Pros Network
This is one of the worst sites around as a choice for USA Players no traffic at all and the software sucks very surprised the site is still online.

Wild Hog Poker is a small site with no risk and great incentives
