Hey all,

I was wondering if there are any US poker sites that will allow and accept UK players?

I think all the major ones do, aside from Bodog/Bovada.

Just exercise caution and make sure there aren't any payout issues - Equity is terrible right now.

So with bovada having their recent cash out issues, what's the next best site for US players? (Specifically Ohio)

Thanks!

i live in OH and play on Carbon, Winning Poker Network(True or Americas Cardroom), Bovada, and have dabbled on BetOnline.

Honestly, all four are pretty reputable for our situation (post Black Friday).

I have been paid multiple times by each room. My most recent Carbon withdrawal was approved in three days. WPN pays out Bitcoin withdrawals very fast to.

What games are you looking to play? Mixing sites can be a good idea to to get in your preferred game type, or if volume is lacking at one site during a particular time of the day, you could replenish that volume with another site.

WPN offers the highest rakeback percentages through promos/incentives but that also leads to more regs and a tough player pool. Bovada is anonymous, everytime you sit at a table your screen name is simply a number, so no screennames, just anonymous numbers, therefore all history among players lasts only for your current session. Carbon does not offer a ton of promos but there are cash game/SNG leaderboards and some other minor promos and the players over there are probably worse as whole compared to WPN.

all in all, the USA online poker market gets **** on at times but it's really not too bad. I simply wish more recs were more aware of some of the sites. Because at a home game i frequent, no one is in the know when it comes to online poker, many dont know it's still offered

Does anyone in the US use this site? I've been playing their free rolls. Wondering if theres any value in running up an acct or if it would be impossible to get the money off.

It's the same as Betonline. You will get paid.

I will be in New Jersey for a few weeks. Due to new regulations, is it now illegal to play on Bovada/BetOnline? I already have accounts on both sites and don't have any NJ poker site accounts.

The word "illegal" isn't correct - there hasn't been a case that's gone to court on the matter. NJ sent out some "cease & desist" notifications & certain sites backed off from serving NJ.

Bovada isn't accepting new players from NJ, but it continues to serve their existing NJ players. I assume Bovada will allow you to play from NJ

Betonline I don't know about

Why don't you contact both sites & ask? Then report back here for others to read? Make sure to tell the sites you're asking about poker - the sites have different geographic coverage for betting & casino

My 1 1/2 cents. Have played on Bovada for quite a while. Software sucks as we all know. Don't like the random player number thing as I think makes collusion too easy. That said, I've done OK and payouts were fine. Decided to try BetOnline on Chico. Software simple but at least not laggy (unless you resize the table). I really wanted to like this site as I was looking to bring a second Sportbook online to go along with Intertops (really like the SB side of 'Tops but the poker traffic is almost non-existent).

Had a couple of runs of both good and back luck on the tables and in the Casino playing BJ. It seemed to me that my balance was not what it should have been after hours of cash game and SNG's plus BJ. So, seemed reasonable to me, I asked for an accounting ledger. You know, what tournaments did I enter? What were the Buy-ins? What was my payout? Same with Cash Games. What table did I sit at? What did I buy in for and what did I leave with? Last, same for BJ where I asked for a simple hand history so I could review all of the 4,5&6 cards Dealer 21's.

Well....I was told 7 times (5 email and two phone calls), where I could find my hand history. I explained I did not want a hand history, I wanted a list of buyi-ins and cash-outs for SNG and Cash Tables. Verbally I was told it was not available and I never received an email reply other than telling where to get hand histories.

Just a warning/FYI to anyone who wants to play there. For one, I now have no trust in a site who refuses to provide an accounting history of my play. Cashout requested. Guess it's back to waiting on a game on Intertops and JokeVada. Peace out.

FWIW ACR support said they accept players from NJ.

I've been playing a few months and have made deposits and withdrawals fine.

NJ regulated MTT's just aren't enough for small/mid stakes.

Just downloaded betonline the other day. After their recent update with software, I recommend to other players to check it out. Bitcoin deposits and credit cards. Only thing that sucks is the fee for depositing.

Betonline accepts US residents from all 50 states.. WPN and Bovada, more Bovada doesn't accept people from New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware,..ETC

There is nothing illegal about playing online poker, from a player's perspective. My advice to you however is to avoid using the cashier of any online poker site while in NJ. Since you are only just visiting, no need to complicate things (some of the offshore sites who service NJ have different rules/payouts in that state).

Rakeback is 27% flat, no matter what skin you choose. High volume players will earn more on the VIP program however. You can get rakeback in one of two ways:

1) Sign up through a rakeback affiliate and your deal is active immediately.
2) Sign up directly through the site of your choice and contact support. Ask to be put on the rakeback program. This typically takes 2-3 business days.

ACR and BCP both have swift payouts. They have a subforum right here in Internet Poker where you can read about their payouts.

Hey guys, I would greatly appreciate some opinions on where you think the best sites are for US players, taking into consideration the quality of play, rewards programs, rake back, etc.

I have been playing on Bovada for a few years and have decided it might be time for a change since I think high rake, and no rake back is eating too much into my profits and am willing to make a switch if anyone has any solid recommendations on better US friendly places to play.

Thanks for any help, its appreciated!

From NY and looking to make a $2,500 deposit on either of these sites. Will be playing NL200 and some PLO.

-Reliable/Quick Cashouts?

-Skill Level?

-Traffic?

-Bonus/Rakeback?

-One site better for PLO?

I did some research and it seems as if there's no definitive answer on which site is better so I figured I'd just ask. Appreciate it greatly. Thank you.

Your first question should be "do they payout without too many problems?" & what are the fees/costs of depositing & withdrawing - this is all vital stuff.

Rakeback/bonuses shouldn't be your top concern. Ask yourself why the bonuses are so spectacular here & there. Why are they doing this? Regarding rake/rakeback pay particular attention to how easy [or otherwise] it is to clear bonuses etc in the time allotted too.

Here's an overview of your options which you can then narrow down by looking at the threads for each room.

I don't play either site, but you'd do better to ask in the two threads dedicated to those sites. Also ask about cheapest ways to deposit/withdraw.

It is my impression as an interested outside observer that ACR is better, but ask the people who play the sites - you'll not get many replies here [possibly none except this one ]

Bovada and ACR would be what you're looking for....as of now

Should I move over to Bovada in this case? More fish and players? Are there any cons to Bovada like trouble cashing out for US players or anything like that?
Bovada is worth checking out. As far as cashouts go they are very reliable and quick...compared to the leading competition for US players. GL GL

Merge is ok for mtt's too. They allow unlimited re entries so it juices the pool a bit. Buuut they dont treat their poker players very well (at least Carbon and Sportsbook.) Cashouts are slow tho and they charge fees

Cashouts were terrible (3-4 months for a check) last year but have been upgraded to only slightly ****ty (assuming you're in the US.) About 5-6 weeks for a check and 3% fee. Bitcoin takes about 2-4 weeks and I think there's a fee for bitcoin withdrawals as well. It changes occasionally so keep an eye on the cashout threads.

Carbon is on the Merge Network and is decent for mtt's but cashouts are slow and charge fees, but they pay out reliably. ACR is on the WPN network and is growing in popularity plus offers rb. I'd recommend ACR/BCP over any Merge skin.
