But one thing I'll say now - it's not like you have a huge selection of sites, so you might want to think twice about eliminating sites just because they don't have rakeback.

What US site DOESN'T have bots? I've played on ACR for a while and it's just too obvious.

It seems to me they probably all do since they are not regulated, which means I'd be better off sports betting.

Yeah, this market (online poker) - especially for US players - is just about over and done with. We're seeing the "last legs" of it right now as we creep up on the start of a new decade. It's definitely not 2009-2013 anymore. Man, did the game just vanish from pop culture, too.

Based on this year's attendance at the WSOP, in which the Main Event had the 2nd most entries it has ever had, I'd say people still have a healthy appetite for poker.

BetOnline and the Chico Network only has the 3rd highest traffic among US friendly networks listed on Poker Scout and you can often find 25+ tables at 200NL+ during prime time evening hours. Add in the 3 other big networks, the app clubs, the crypto sites and all of the smaller sites and there is still plenty of poker to be found online.

People have been saying poker was on its last legs since Black Friday in 2011. It's nearly a decade later and people are playing multiple $25,000 buy-in tournaments a day on an Asian Network. The online poker landscape has changed, but it's definitely not dead.

On the other hand, bots and AI, live solvers and advances in other undesirable software use at the tables is a real threat to the future of the games. My suggestion would be to support the sites which do the best job at deterring and removing the accounts which attempt to use these types of software at their tables. Play where the games are good. Immediately stop playing if you feel something is suspicious and post your concerns in the forum to get some feedback from other players who play in those games.

Amen, Brother.

Mod Edit: I was going to delete this deceptive post, but I think we'll keep it here so everyone knows how this poster operates. Here's the original post that he changed:

It's driven everyone I know away from the tables a long time ago already.

Nothing lasts forever. We'll see what winds up taking poker's place as we approach a new decade and economic landscape in general.

If you're going to completely change the content of somebody's post in a quote then you should make that known to any future readers. Most commonly people will add FYP(fixed your post) after the quote to indicate that they've done some editing to the quote.

Nah...everyone knows I grasped the true gist of what he was saying. You yourself agreed with the overall sentiment. There's no denying the handwriting on the wall at this point.

No, most people would have no idea you changed the post; you were clearly trying to deceive people. It wasn't the true gist of what I was saying, and I don't believe MCA agreed with the overall sentiment, but I'll let him speak to that if he wants to.

So you've gone through the usual cycle with this account now, I see. Back to the every site is rigged and you're going to troll every thread mode that we've seen so many times before. Say good night, HugeStacks/GreenBliss/so many other accounts.

I did not agree. He was just making up bullshit to fit his narrative like usual. Thanks for taking out the trash Bobo!

Hi,

Sorry its been awhile. what is a better site right now for MTT? Ignition or ACR?

It seems like ACR had more MTT selections than Ignition in the past, but I have read that ACR is full of cheaters, etc?

ACR and the Winning Poker Network sites still offer the most big guarantee MTTs. Due to their recurring software issues I would recommend giving the other sites a look.

You could try Ignition/Bovada as they offer the next largest amount of guarantees.

You could try Global Poker as they run some decent MTT series a few times a year.

Personally I'd recommend trying out BetOnline or SportsBetting. Their guarantees aren't the biggest, but their network offers a wide variety of unique MTTs only matched by the variety offered at the WPN sites.

I just checked out Betonline and literally no one was there. they must have had under 100 players. Has the world of online poker changed that much in a few months?

Online poker landscape is constantly changing, w the main catalyst prob being Black Friday. Once the duopoly of FT/Stars could no longer take on US play, new sites sprung up, the private club sites and apps became an option, and the player pool has been spread across these options.

Also, some of the recreational players, who have fewer factors motivating them to do the research on newer sites or apps that they might want to deposit on, may have stopped playing online.

Still a ton of people playing online poker in the US, but their play isn't as centralized as it was before Black Friday. This has played out over years, not months

+1 to everything MB said.

Games are spread out across multiple sites now. It's best to have multiple options. You can always find a game, but you're not always going to find a whole lot of options at any one site. There's just not as much consistency anymore.

With regards to BetOnline specifically, you're going to find the peak hours for their games are late evenings and nights during weekdays. Off-peak hours can be hit or miss with the overnight and morning hours usually having the least traffic. The weekends tend to have a bit more traffic throughout the day.

I am a bit surprised that you found there to be very little traffic in the late afternoon. There is usually pretty decent taffic at that time. I'm sure there will be more players getting on as more people in the US get off from work.

I was very surprised as well. it was honestly sort of depressing.

Yeah, off-peak hours are definitely hit or miss. It's just the reality at most sites these days. There's usually a little more going on at that time than what you described though. As expected, there was a good amount tables going in the prime-time hours. If your preferred hours are outside of late evenings and nights then I would definitely suggest having accounts at multiple sites if you're looking to get consistent volume.

What type of pre paid debit cards are a guarantee to be credited in a deposit on Ignition or Betonline? I tried the well known Green Dot and it gets rejected. Yall know of a definite one? My Paypal debit card was rejected too. I could create a Bitcoin account but wanted to stay this route if possible.

Bitcoin is cheaper, faster, and works 100% of the time.
