re: Where Can US Players Play? (the 1st post has an April, 2012 UPDATE)

Bovada blows...it's like a kindergartner made up that software....the auto-click feature for calling or folding only works about 10% of the time maybe...enabling sounds makes software lag.....the games are super super slow as well......they also dont keep track of your stats.....

this is only a shell of the former bodog, and i would say a cracked shell at that....****** sucks we have garbage to choose from for online poker....after playing online for the last 8 years i am just about done with it.

I would stay faaaaar away from Everleaf right now, until they fix their cashouts. Your best bet is Intertops, on the Cake network. Cake is far and away the best site for cash game players in the USA right now, in my opinion.

re: Where Can US Players Play? (the 1st post has an April, 2012 UPDATE)

Looking in both the Cake and Minted poker threads, it seems, more and more, people are getting exasperated with longer and longer pay outs to U.S. players.

It's been mentioned in each thread, that both sites may also be having cash flow problems similar to the ones FTP was having a year ago.

I know a lot of people have been saying, don't bother with online poker, since BF.

Listening to interviews on podcasts and such, it seems like most mid - high stakes players haven't even considered sites like Cake, or Minted or Merge, and are all choosing live play, relocation to play on Stars or getting a job in the real world.

It seems like it's gotten to the point where U.S. players playing on Cake, Minted, Merge, etc. etc. are essentially just playing for glorified play money, and that we are getting closer and closer to a point where, until regulation happens, playing online poker in the U.S. for money is a downright unrealistic option.

Are there any really good arguments in favor of playing online poker for money in the United States right now?

Yes, all the same ones that have been there since the beginning. You just have to decide how much risk there might be and how much you can mitigate that, and then weight that against the positives.

You can scroll through the cake and merge withdrawel threads for hours and not catch a missed payment. Also from the reading I have done in there is that they pay out much much faster to people outside of the US showing they are not having liquidity issues.

If getting paid fast is your goal then I would suggest the Yatahay network, usually withdraws via western union / money gram take a few days ( however pricey especially when taking less than a 1,000 or so prices can exceed 10% even up to 20% on the smaller withdraws)

I have had good experience with the Everleaf network , they also pay out western union ( free withdrawels which is amazing ) but you must deposit via that option. Withdrawels take about a month but if you harass the hell out of them daily ask for managers and such you will get comped 25$ a few times and have the withdrawel sped up.

Say what? Really? Do you have to deposit via WU?

You have two current options as a us citizen. You can deposit via western union, which frankly sucks because you're paying like 7pct or whatever it is off the top, though they don't charge you when you cash out at least, or you can deposit via a netteller like thing they set up called pic club. Simply because i don't trust pic club i have done western union but i can confirm the support is really good at everleaf, and that the games are extremely soft compared to merge.

I'd stay away from Everleaf. I'm at about 5-weeks for a Western Union withdrawal. Talked to many different support people via e-mail and live support including a manager. They won't even say when it will be up for processing.??? Really feel like they're having money problems or don't want winning players around. They're slow for Euros also which is a big red flag imo.

The only reason I'm still on RPM is because I have 35% rakeback... I'm thinking of switching to Lock because of faster cash outs. How much of a hit will I likely take in rakeback and do you think it's worth switching over from RPM with rakeback to Lock and their VIP program? I mainly play 1 or 2 HU tables of 25nl or 50nl 4 hours a day tops. thanks.

Idk how much it will effect you, but after 60 days of no rake on RPM, they can xfer it to Lock for you. GL

They won't do this anymore. Merge has changed the policy on transferring rakeback accounts.

I usually stay away from sports betting cause longterm it's usually such a losing endeavor, but Super Bowl coming up may wanna put a few hundies on the pats....
I hope you didn't bet on the Pats. I stated earlier they were going to lose.

Because the DOJ does not have a case yet or cannot get a case against these sites. You can make more playing on other sites rather than playing on the US sites. When it is legal is anyone's guess.
