BUT >>>>

A lot of folks on 2+2 are players from the United States of America and if you are not aware the US DOJ shut down Poker Stars, Full Tilt and a few other top poker sites to US Players..

So many US players are tying to find a Poker for Money online home.

I myself tried really hard to get on Carbon Poker, but got frustrated just trying to deposit money onto the site with Western Union. Carbon Poker told me to go to Western Union to deposit money to them using some funky made up name.

So I wired $100.00 to the funky name in the Phillipines that provided me and tried to enter the control number that WU gave me, and Carbon said they never got it. So I tried 2 or 3 more times and STILL never could even deposit on there.

So my thought patern was IF I can not even deposit on Carbon Poker what were the chances of me ever getting my money OFF the site..

Still don't know for sure but there is a whole thread with mostly complaints about Carbon Poker for one thing or another.

The high fees they charge, not being able to deposit or withdraw etc etc.

I am still wondering IF anyone has found a good sold site like Poker Stars was that us USA players wanting to play maybe a $100 a month worth of Poker can play?

The search and saga continue ~ ~ ~

Yes, many prepaid Visa cards will work. Best thing to do is call Bodog CS directly, they are very helpful. They also accept WU and MyPaylinq.

It's been a while since I've been around and was thinking about playing a little on bodog, merge, or cake. I was just wondering why I see people offering to trade money off merge and cake at crazy vigs, like 80 cents on the dollar. Can anyone clue me in real quick on what's that about? It sounds like bodog might be the safest bet.

Merge is closed to new US signups temporarily, but their payouts are slow. Cake, Bodog and Everleaf are probably the best US facing sites ATM. Cake has long payout times, except for the Intertops skin which uses their own processor AFAIK. Everleaf has the fastest payouts IMO, but very low traffic.

Bodog is fairly good, but there have been quite a few bounced checks; though they replace quickly when you contact them with documentation. Payment processors are a problem for all US facing sites, obv reasons.

Hope that helps, gl

Not what you are looking for exactly, but...

The only thing I know of that's close is Doyle's (yatahay) fight club tournaments. I think it's winner take all but maybe some of them have bounties.

It's probably more like 25 players and a $10-15 buyin though.

Obv not ideal for mtt consisting of 1000+ players but maybe like a 20$ buyin, 100 players.. only top 1-3 cash to keep the winnings better and more worth it for ur buck. Sucks playing a tourney for 5 hours just to barely 2x ur money. Just curious.. something id be interested in.

Merge and Cake have long payout times, which prob means they are somewhat insolvent

if my choice is between minted for the rakeback and bodog for the traffic which do i choose?

i really think im loosing alot by playing without rakeback on bodog but minted is freakin dead and kinda lame with the different dollar and euro tables

does the 1/2 NL on minted ever fill up?

Yes, the 6max do. Right now there is 2 full tables of 6max and 1 table of 4max running.

NOTE: they are Euro tables with higher rake though.

Why not play both? I play multiple Networks. You can sit at as many tables at a site to get RB and if you can't get enough tables going, then you can play at Bodog.

Split your deposit up and give both a try, IMO.

I'm not sure that is a fair statement. The current US climate makes it extremely difficult for sites to process payments at a decent speed.

As far as Cake, I wouldn't argue with. They are also seeing long delays to none US players. Merge seems to be a little faster than Cake and I don't believe they have had delays paying non-US players.

They do occasionally(probably more like rarely but I haven't actively monitored it over the last few weeks), but normally it's going to be the Euro tables mainly. You can play both USD and Euro tables. They have it set up where it is a fixed exchange. When you sit at a Euro Table it auto converts your USD funds to Euro's. When you leave, it auto converts the Euro's back to USD's.

That being said, just remember the Euro tables have much higher rake.

09-29-2011 , 02:16 PM

09-29-2011 , 02:24 PM
At this present moment in time no where imo.

What about Club WTP? I heard an ad for it on the radio... but i haven't checked it out yet...

Its a subscription site.
Ie pay 30$ get 30 points.
Play a mtt 1point - 30 points in value get X reward. Seems scamy scam, even if there if overlay in value at this moment they can alter prizes at any time. Schemmey like a penny bidding site imo.

It also operated on former UB software, which UB never reported sales of which could be in excess of 30Mill $. To help play AP players

Its rumord the club wpt support is ran by formed-UB support.

.... i would not bother with Club-WPT.
