Not to hijack but I have played on minted for the past few months. Most traffic occurs during (11a-5p EST) due to the large european player base, with 10-15 tables maybe more at 50NL, I would estimate. Traffic does dip noticeably at night though.

Anyone hear any new updates on Merge? I was given today (August 15) as the date to start looking for it to potentially re-allow new US accounts by multiple sources (including a Merge rep), with August 31st being the absolute latest date...

A lot of us refuse to play their Euro tables because of the absurd rake difference in comparison to the same level $ tables. Unless you like getting the shaft Id recommend the same strategy. That being the case, 0-2 US $ tables at each small to mid stake level is usually fairly accurate. For example, right now there is 1 full NL50 6max 0 full NL100 6max and 0 full NL200 6max tables in action.

You really don't believe those of us that have posted that we have successfully Cashed out from Minted or Everleaf in general?

I can assure you that I have made several Cashouts from Minted Poker without problems. There isn't a lot of traffic but a lot of us play multiple Networks and load a few tables up from each.

Edit: 5thStreetHog is another player that apparently plays multiple Networks and plays as many USD tables as are running. There are plenty players besides myself and 5thStreetHog that play both USD and Euro tables.

Also, there are Networks with much much less traffic that players have succesfully Cashed out without problems.

For the record, I have also cashed out albeit a different skin.

If you want to play now, then the site I would recommend would depend on what game types you play, what stakes you play, and what is most important to you as a player(Example: is RakeBack the most important, Traffic, ability to Multi-table, or Cashout speed).

Basically the best room will probably depend on what your looking for. With Merge not accepting new US signups right now, there isn't a clear favorite, IMO and thus the best option is largely dependant on the individual player.

Some of the other sites include Minted Poker, True Poker, Bodog, and Intertops. They all have their positives and negatives so it's hard to say which may be best for you without knowing the specifics of what you play and what you are looking for. If you would like try to provide a little more information on what your looking for and then some of us can probably give you what we would recommend.

Some may well recommend Sportsbook, but I would avoid them personally.
Are you sure about that man? Cause from what I been seeing, out of all those sites Sportsbook have been getting the most traffic, the only downside to me is that they are not offering RB right now -__-

First, the sites I mentioned that are bolded are on the same Network as Sportsbook and my point was that I would prefer to play on those skins because they are much much more reputable than Sportsbook. Sportsbook has done some shady things in the past and has a poor rating on SBR. While the other skins aren't currently accepting new US sign ups, it is rumored they will be soon. I seriously doubt they will have Sportsbook accept US players for very long without allowing the other skins, though a lot of Sportsbook accepting players is likely because of Football season and their Sportsbook is their most important portion of their business, IMO.

Secondly, while the other sites do have less traffic, I would still prefer to play on those sites over Sportsbook because they offer fast Cashouts and are more reputables, IMO.

I will agree that Sportsbook as more traffic than Minted Poker, True poker, and even Bodog, but traffic isn't everything. I played on RPM, Minted Poker, and others when UB was still around and never ever even had an account on UB because they were shady. If traffic was the only thing that was important, I would have played on UB

There is no definite date of when Merge (or certain skins) will resume US player sign-ups that us players know of. Merge skins are not even sure when this will be since the decision will come directly from Merge upper management. Although as I have said before I expect it to be very soon.

I hear OK things about Minted, just the traffic is low which certainly influences where players play.

Sportsbook would be getting the most traffic yes since It is a Merge skin. Merge is currently the largest network serving US players and their skins all share the same player pool. About RakeBack, you could maybe get lucky

So, I have read a bunch of posts on this site, and haven't found what I am looking for. I joined Cake poker not too long ago, have tripled my money so far in cash games, but I prefer tournament play much more than cash games. The tournament population on cake is horrendous. Anyone able to recommend a good US available site which has good tournament turn outs? I miss my Stars and FTP tourneys >_<.

^ To rephrase I meant lucky with RakeBack in general, but no, not on Sportsbook.
08-15-2011 , 11:20 PM
Merge is the largest US facing room so that's probably your best bet.

PokerScout.com for cash game traffic.

Good luck getting your cash off cake. They are painfully slow at the moment.

The only site i found working for US players was Betonline.com. What do you guys think about them?
08-16-2011 , 03:58 AM
That's the only site you found?

You might want to read the last few pages of this thread.

Just a quick question --

Can US players do real money play there?

If so, anyone had experience with deposits/withdrawals?

And is any hud support available? (pt3, hm)

And, is it sustainable? (ie under scrutiny by the ****ty dpj?)

Just curious about this site since it seems to be the AMERICAN way to play... espn... ect.. whats up with it?
08-16-2011 , 05:37 AM
yea sup wid it
08-16-2011 , 05:38 AM
They're an 888 skin so, no, Americans can't play there.

Yea, my friend plays on merge, but they are not currently accepting US players as of right now. Also, my friend said their tournament selections and turn out isn't that great either.

Their tournament selection and turn out is going to be the best of US sites currently since they are the largest US site.

They are not PokerStars or Full Tilt, but they are still the largest current room.

Not exactly sure what your looking for in terms of tournaments, but you may want to play on multiple Networks to try to take advantage of the better tournaments on each Network.

Don't know where to ask this, but here seems as good as any place, I want to rail someone who is playing on stars.

Am I able to log in to watch tournaments on pokerstars?

Bought shares in someone and would like to rail.

I have here the most unfortunate and ridiculous reply.

I asked this:
I am from the US and would like to view the real money games. Can I still do
that and if so give me a link to download the software.

They replied with this:Hello,

Thank you for contacting PokerStars.

PokerStars does not offer real money play to customers residing in the US and its territories. Because of this, you will not be able to download the real money version of our software, known as PokerStars.COM.

The only download available to US players is PokerStars.NET which is the play money version of our software.

In order to create a new account, you will first need to install the .NET play money version of our software, and then restart the program.

You can download the play money software via our website PokerStars.net. Please use the following link:

http://www.pokerstars.net/poker/download/

Please do contact us again, should you have any further questions, or in case you find any problems in installing the software.

Regards,

Eddie

You can't LOG ON to their "real money" version, and therefore, no, you cannot rail the real money games.

You can still rail their real money games on Pokerstars. I can still log in and I get that good message. (Residents from the US....... basically saying I can't play)

If you don't have the real money version, I am not sure where you get it. But I have it and it updates just fine. I can watch all the cash games and tourneys.
