I was totally against the lack of waitlists at first but I'm warming up to the idea now. Games are the fishiest I've seen like ever, clearly this has had something to do with it.

Re: What's happening at Ongame?

I agree...without the waiting list it's much easier to find good games and much faster too. When 8 players are waiting it doesnt make sense to wait also cause there will be totally new players at the table when U finally get a seat.
And when I try to sit down at a table from the lobby, I almost always get the seat. Havent had any big problems there...

Re: What's happening at Ongame?

No waiting lists = More tables = More rake

Instead of waiting for existing tables, people are going to open up more new tables.

Too bad the software lags when you multitable. So frustrating when you need to click 2-3 times on each button.

Re: What's happening at Ongame?

For those who got trouble with Hollywood download client (it closes the program after you login):
Go to http://get.adobe.com/air/ and download Adobe Air (on the right click 'Get Adobe Air') and download and install it.
Download the Hollywood client and install it (it won't install Air)
Login to Hollywood, the client will shut down (at least it does for me and some friends of mine got the same problem)
Now install Adobe Air again, it will tell you this version is already installed and quit the installer.
Start Hollywood poker client, and login. For me it works now, the client doesn't shut down anymore.

Yeah, there is no way that was an accident. Ongame have screwed up by not explaining the benefits clearly either before migration or when the change was made, I was extremely annoyed when I first saw how it was done, but its typical of Ongame that bc they dont have any direct contact with the end users, they don't feel like they are accountable and come off as incredibly arrogant.

By the way, thanks to that guy from Eurobet for posting here. If you have any influence with Ongame could you tell them that they come across as massive jerks because they never speak to the community or if they do, it is all done in an incredibly retarded way. That idiot from the ombudsmans department who used to post here, OngameClassic, is a prime example of what I'm talking about, zero communication skills, and as soon as one difficult question comes up he has a hissy fit and is never seen or heard of again.

Re: What's happening at Ongame?

The no waiting list thing doesn't work for games witha small player pool. In flhe very few people want to play heads-up to start a game due to extortionate rake at low limits so new tables are rarely started, and the old games tend to break up quickly without the wait-list to sustain them. I'm sure many people log-in see there are only a couple of games which are full, then decide to go and play another site never bothering to constantly check if a seat has become free.

I can't exit the eurobet software anymore? I always have to close it through the task manager. Anybody else who has experienced the same?

There are lots of things wrong with this software but if you play at ongame there is no way anyone can deny that not having wait lists improves the game immensely.

This actually helps table selection because if you are on the ball you get to snap up the good seats as they pop up. Sessions start quicker and tables don't break as often.
+1,its better without waitinglists

As there is a big player pool, it seems to be happening the opposite way round. New tables are starting more often and full ones are breaking less.

Re: What's happening at Ongame?

I said in limit hold'em, although it being new software and the sudden disappearance of alot of the old russian tag limit players might not be a coincidence.
