What site to go to for US Players?? What site to go to for US Players??

07-20-2011 , 11:35 PM
Ok, I have used the search button, etc. but looking for a quick answer. Yes I know its dumb to play on a poker site, but only looking to put $50 on and if I lose it, oh well. Is there anything worth putting money on out there? I tried Lock/Rpm but they aren't accepting new U.S. customers. Inb4 all suggesitons on what to do with $50...

Because there's a topic already for this exact thing and you even knew about it so you're causing more fragmentation for others trying to seek the same information. Not trying to be mean here, but when you ask the same question it's not more important than when someone else asks it. Nobody needs their own thread for the same question.

Yes, information in that thread may be outdated but just skip to the last page. Easy.
07-21-2011 , 12:47 AM
Yeah, I skipped to the last page, why the f do you care if I post a new thread. That thread is cluttered, I don't want to see that thread. If you're only concerned about new people searching for the same info, I don't see how this thread would hurt them, so please, gtfo. Considering 95% of that info is useless, why not start another???
07-21-2011 , 12:47 AM
and, mind your own fn business

ban
07-21-2011 , 12:57 AM
LOL. You're good at making new friends.

At least just start the thread and not say you tried to search for the same question. Post #4 was entirely reasonable, both in content and demeanor; your response, not so much.

Well I guess I won't win this battle, I just don't see the harm in starting a new thread that no one else has to look at. I was looking for quick answers that none of you guys who are wasting your time had to look at for one minute. Sorry to waste your space.

i think most people here would recommend the Cake Poker network. they've been the fastest with player withdrawals post black friday and the best of the remaining US sites for customer service in general.

So if the "Where can US players play" thread has 1100 posts you dont see the problem if 1099 people had just started their own threads asking and discussing the same question? You should be able to see that might be less efficient than having one thread which players can look to find the information and the varied opinions they need.

I have 250+ posts and only have started a few so I don't see the harm and 1099 people starting a thread comment is way off base. I see the point you guys are trying to make but much of that thread has to do with merge/rpm/lock, and they recently stopped accepting u.s. customers, and the last few pages have to do with somewhat off-topics....hence, me starting a new thread that people might pay more attention to than they would the old thread.

Anyways, I'll ask somewhere else, quit acting like the "internet poker" sub-forum has any importance, just thought I might get a few clues.

Yeah, no problem, man. I'll just PM you the link each time someone starts this same thread.

Of those posts 10% were thread starters, and 10% of those were locked at single digit replies.

Oh sorry you're butthurt over 1 little post I made.

I can't imagine seeing a thread I have no interest in and berating somebody about thread rules, seems time wasting, whatever, you win.

I'll go somewhere else.

No, stay here. That way you'll be more refined for your next forum.

#1 you have too much time on your hands

#2, you're pulling numbers out of your ass, I've started about 3 threads in the last two years, or else prove me otherwise.

I'm an out of work online poker player. If we could play online poker, we wouldn't be posting in this thread.

Nah, I'd rather wait until I can relocate to another country, which is going to be about a year unfortunately.

I'm too slow.

OP, if anyone's acting butthurt ITT, it's you. Everyone's right, you're wrong. The more threads we have asking the same question, the less useful these forums are. I would guess that we've merged at least 20 threads into the main one already from people just like you who started a new thread. If we'd let them all live on their own, we'd now have 20+ threads in this forum about the same thing, all with slightly different answers, making it pretty much hopeless for anyone new to find an answer to the question. And then we'd have 20 more in the next two months, and so on, and so on. Now multiply that by 10 or 20 other common questions, and what do you think we'd have? A big ****ing mess.

BTW, Mitch wasn't pulling numbers out of his ass, it only takes about 10 seconds to see you've started 21 threads here. You're also correct that only a few are in the last couple of years, but that's irrelevant to his point.

Of course you can go somewhere else to find the answer, but seeing as the question has been answered plenty of times in this forum, that would be a waste of your time. As was suggested, you should start by checking the last few pages of that thread. If for some reason you don't think your question is answered well enough, ask it in that thread.
