When you cascading all those tables on your laptop, do you add tables everytime you finish one or you wait till you're done with all of them? Do you have some kind of system?

I just want to say thanks for doing this.

Hey jorj,

was just wondering something bout sports gambling...The sample size (of games), I would guess is A LOT smaller than poker...Ex. one might play 5-30 sports games/week vs 100-200 hu sngs per week. HOW do/did you know that you were "beating" the books and beating variance and not just going on a sick run?

I barely ever see Bigjoe playing anymore.

Yes I'm in the US, in Gilbert, Arizona.

I haven't had any problems banking yet but I try not to go through the bank if I can help it. I have friends who buy stars money of me and stuff like that.

Did it tilt you at all that I won every showdown against you last week whether I got it in bad or just really bad? lol
Ya it's definitely annoying when I run like god in the 109s and can't win a hand in the step 6s. Pretty much if I don't win a step 6 I'm probably going to lose money for that day regardless of what else happens.

You weren't the only one crushing me the last week or so. I lost about 40k the last few days just to get a 20k bonus. Probably not the best way to go about things.

You are a machine, and it sounds as though you have a fantastic lifestyle, balancing poker well with everything else, and I envy you for that.

As a new STT player in lots of your games, please do not coach anyone ever.

I stack the tables. I have one stack in the top right corner with all my sngs and another stack in the bottom right corner with all my step 5s. on the bottom left I put the lobby and on the top left I cascade any step 6s or mtts that I'm playing.

I pretty much just stay registered for all the sngs I want to play and then if I get too many running at a time (like around 22-24) I'll start to unregister from a few so that I don't get completely overloaded.

This is accurate, the variance is way bigger in sports than in poker. I know I was beating the books because I made bets that had 100% provable positive mathematical expectation. Basically some books offered bets that you could bet every time the same scenario came up and come out ahead. Unfortunately most of these opportunities no longer exist.

Yeah I love traveling so much anyway so the wife & I tend to base most of our vacations on where poker tournaments are going to be, and then just spend extra time exploring. We just spent 2.5 weeks in Australia and it was awesome. Obviously we will be in Bahamas next week, which is a great place to relax, assuming I bust early from the donkament like I usually do.

Another question for you George. How much did Stars SNG leaderboard affect your earn this year? With only a handful of players putting in the high stakes volume you did this year, were you earning bonuses every single week? Do you know a rough total of bonus money earned for the year?

You mentioned earlier that you thought, in a way, you were not that good at poker, and played mostly sngs. Don't you think this makes your ev for big buy in mtts like the PCA very low. Or do you also play mtts often? See you in Bahamas

Ya I earned something at least on most weeks, I would guess something between 10k and 20k for the year from the SNG leaderboard. On the Jupiter high volume leaderboard there's barely even 5 people that qualify some weeks.

No I don't think I suck at poker necessarily, but I don't think of myself as one of the best players by any means. In a field like PCA there's basically no way i'm not +ev though. There are just so many bad players in events like that. I'm not going to play something like the high rollers event though because there are lots more good players in something like that.

No I don't play many mtts, mostly just on Sundays on stars. I would play more but it's just not worth the time commitment to me.

How are you stacking two sets and cascading one set without running a script?

Nice well Jorj.....TONS of respect for your game

You and I (Diggs82 (Team Canada Hockey avatar)) played a bunch of Steps (4/5/6) to the WCOOP together a couple months ago.....do you recall playing with me? Probably not but if so any thoughts on my play/game?

Have you ever been approached by a training site to do videos? If so which one(s)? Have you considered it?

Thanks for doing this Jorg, a great insight into a high stakes sng player.

1) How do you put people on pushing and calling ranges?

2) Do you ever play 6 max sng? If not why not?

3) What do you think the future of sng's are?

4) Do you get weird looks when you tell people you play poker for a living?

5) Do you ever watch TV while playing?

6) Has your wife always been supportive of you playing proffesional poker?

Thanks

Did u cry when they let people basically use there step 4 tickets for majors instead of going up the steps system and into higher step games essentially killing action at step 4 +

i know i was upset and i dont nearly the step 5 and 6s u do

How many Battle of the Planets shootout tickets do you have stockpiled?

When you say you play 6-8 hour sessions does that mean you're 20 tabling continuously for 6-8 hours cos that's pretty sick?

It'd probably be tough to 20 table hu sngs.

Seriously though I don't think I am that good at hu.

I use allsnap which makes the tables stack exactly on top of each other but other than that I just manually move each table to the correct spot on the monitor when it opens.

Most of the players in the higher sngs are regulars. That's not to say they are all good players necessarily. There are definitely some regulars who I don't mind having in the games.

The non-regs can vary greatly from decent players to absolutely terrible players. The really bad players who play the 1ks and 2ks are generally worse than the worst players in a 200, but the good players in a 1k are better than the good players in a 200.
