I'm always glad to see you pop into threads that are dramatic or heated as I'm usually like "ah, here comes the voice of reason". Sometimes I think you can be a little too forgiving and patient but I think for someone in your position that's probably the best way and a good thing. I could learn a thing or two from your unrelenting patience. Basically, after that little ego boost, I think you're a perfect man for the job you do here. GL and keep it up.
Wow, thanks.

4. Thoughts on Canada and poker? Do you see any major changes coming and/or see the Gov trying to regulate it and closing you guys off to the ROW and do you see the tax issue being clairfied? FWIW I think you guys have it great right now and I hope it stays that way.
5. Besides being an operator, what do you see as being lucrative as far as the business side of poker? If you were just starting, knowing what you know and having your current experience and the boom was just starting, what would you do and/or have done differently then you've done? I'd especially like to know what you would do if you didn't have much money but wanted to get into the business side. Like, lets say you though a second boom was coming, do you think being an affiliate or starting a website would be something that could propel a person to success?
I'll probably have a couple more. Thanks for these
1. I guess that depends on your perspective. I'd say I'd be considered a little right of centre here in Canada, which probably makes me some kind of Communist to Americans.
I think many Canadians consider Democrats to be somewhat centrist, and Republicans to be...well...I'll be kind and just say out to the right quite a ways. But overall, I'd say right of centre economically, left of centre socially.
2. As big as the boom, quite possibly and maybe even bigger, but of course it won't be the same. While play might get softer when American fish return, it probably won't ever be as soft as it was. And the potential segregation of the market into a bunch of smaller ones make the landscape interesting.
3. 5 years - bigger than today, as we should have Americans back by then and perhaps better economic times. 10-15? That's pretty tough to say with any certainty. I guess it partly depends on how tough the games get and if any variations and/or new games catch on that help with that. If the games keep getting tougher and nothing new comes along, things might get worse. But if ways can be found to keep casual players interested, I think the future is good. While there are plenty of us "old folks" that play online, there are a lot more people in their 20s doing so. As they get older, I would expect more of them keep playing than we have 30 and 40 year olds playing now, so the pool should grow in that way. Also, there are plenty of other countries with a ****ton of people that haven't joined online poker in a big way yet.
4. Not any time soon, I don't think. If there was going to be move in that direction, I would have expected it to have happened by now with some provinces having started up their own sites, and with the Conservative party in power now. I won't be foolish enough to dismiss the idea that it could ever happen, but you just don't hear a lot of people clamouring to do anything, and we don't have anywhere near the same amount of ties between politics and religion as you see in the US. Also, I don't think lobbyists have the same kind of power here, and we don't have a massive B&M casino industry.
5. Always meant to start an affiliate site, and still might one day, even though the best days of that business are also long gone. I have ideas for content that still aren't being filled, and I think that's pretty much the only way to get an affiliate business going these days without a huge marketing budget. If there is another boom coming, that's where the content needs to be tailored IMO.

LOL.
Hmm...probably a good call more often than not, but I might surprise you now and then.
Is that all? Cereusly?? I guess that could be, as I have a gimmick account that hasn't gotten much use these days.
