Re: WARNING: do NOT deposit on Lock until further notice

Hi

We do not shut down customers we just reserve the right to refuse new registrations from the US. We still accept players from other markets and existing players can still play.
It is not a matter of being tired of all the work it is a matter of minimizing risk and creating a safer place to play for our current players.

Best regards,

The Intertops Poker Team

It isn't a positive sign to me. No company shuts down customers because it's just making too much money and they're tired of all the work.

FWIW I enjoyed my time on Intertops. The rep here has always been helpful and so has CS.

Enjoy.

Re: WARNING: do NOT deposit on Lock until further notice

I deposited 2 days ago (11th July), using moneybookers and still no sign of the money. I'm based in Europe so this issue doesn't apply to only USA based players and/or credit/debit card users.

I sent an email to Shane, Rizen AND Lock support right after I made the deposit (when the money was not there).

This is the email I received from Lock support yesterday:

I went to my cashier and transferred the $40 to my poker account. It all seemed fine. However once I refreshed the page, the fund was no longer there.

I have since emailed support - no replies so far.

There are. However Internet Poker gets a lot more traffic than Lock's forum on 2+2. So it makes sense to post this thread here to make more people aware of the situation.

---

This may simply be an error in Lock's payment processing system. However no Lock reps have addressed this issue anywhere in the forum in the past few weeks since the problem began. This hurts Lock's brand massively and doesn't give new or old players much incentives to deposit.

Looking through the link I posted in my OP you'll see that it's not just one person going over the top with a missing deposit. It's multiple people every day for the last few weeks experiencing the same issue. Like I said before, Lock may very well not be down right stealing people's deposit. But the fact that most people haven't heard back from lock support and/or any lock reps addressing the issue on 2+2 - is what's making people annoyed and angry.

Re: WARNING: do NOT deposit on Lock until further notice

A Lock CS replied to an email of mine stating they have no record of my last deposit and need a screenshot of my bank statement. After contacting my bank, they indeed confirmed that it was debited for the amount of my last deposit by the identical processor as previous times. Only issue is that my online bank statement won't show this for atleast a week or two I am think and until then I will not be able to provide proof as they requested.

Way to start/end my weekend early.

Thanks

EVERYBODY that has any doubt about STOLEN FUNDS just read the 'Deposit Vanished into thin air'. i am now on Day 6 of my deposit being stolen. I sent them a screen shot days ago, but have yet to see my STOLEN deposit. I have made more deposits on this site than I care to remember and this is how they treat their loyal customers. I have begged them in prior posts to get with their processors and give my back my money. Anything, Right. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.

The US government filed charges against PokerStars. Early on, shortly after Black Friday, Pokerstars agreed to no longer service players from the United States. No resolution has yet been reached in that case, but PokerStars agreed, in order to get their domain back (which was seized by US authorities) and to pay back US players quickly and fully, that they would no longer service US players.

PokerStars is the world's largest site, so they have a lot more incentive to shore up outstanding legal issues and get involved in a future regulated US poker market too. The likes of Revolution, Merge and some of the smaller networks have virtually zero chance of serving US players in a successfully regulated US online poker market.

The amount I tried to deposit to Lock was instantly deducted from my available balance in my bank account.

Re: WARNING: do NOT deposit on Lock until further notice

Kind of funny that it's the opposite of what full tilt was doing just before they went out of business. They were giving people credit for deposits that were never debited. Lock is doing the opposite, debiting the deposits and not giving credit to the players. I'm not sure which is the smartest business plan, but it seems to piss people off more when they don't get credit for their deposits.

Re: WARNING: do NOT deposit on Lock until further notice

Cashier hasn't been working on Lock for weeks, no response from support in weeks.
I have already counted the money in my account as a loss, will be very surprised if I ever see it.
