whatever the "logic" behind their system of picking who's getting paid and who isn't, I gotta admit I'm not fully understanding it. they sure as **** aren't doing it in the order they were requested.

Because there have been quite a few payouts requested after June 6th (and 7th). So they have gone back in time to handle some, rather than do all of them in sequence.

what's really confusing though is their current "modus operandi".

from everything that's been going on lately, one would expect them to go bankrupt within a matter of weeks.

yet they're actually paying people out (I know that a number of payouts in fact did occur, because I know some people who got paid personally), except they are doing it in no apparent order.

anyone sensible has got to ask themselves the obvious question, why would they be paying people out if they were planning on shutting down anyway?

getting some "good publicity" to attract possible new deposits? yeah right...

it's not like any new player with half a brain will deposit there anywhere in the near future, regardless. and even if they would, the amount that the new players deposit would never exceed the amount that they have been paying out.

so what's their agenda? no clue whatsoever, but it leads to hope that they have none, and want to restore the site to some sort of normalcy but are just too broke to do it at the moment.

You are exactly right. The only thing I would add is that they have been doing this for years now so their behavior is nothing new.

The problem is that I don't believe they have a backlog. Even before the takeover they were late with payouts. By the way, the takeover was finalized mid December 2011. This could mean a couple of things.

First of all that they are slow and just negligent. They should have realized over the years that this has and will be costing them players and thus income. So if it was just negligence, they should have changed it.

Another possibility is, as someone else already mentioned in this tread, that they rely on deposits to make the payouts. This system will have an expiration date. Probably sooner than later.

The third possibility is that they had too high costs and they are changing their cost structure in order to obtain more profits, so they can meet all payouts. I have no evidence or seen anything that this is the case.

The final options, is that they are investing the money in the changes that have been made to the network. New layout for example for PNR and adding Sportsbook, etc. So they use players money to fund the improvements to the network and hope this will generate more play/ betting on their network.

I personally think that the above mentioned second option is most probable.

^Another issue possible reason they don't have the money: I read in an article (it's linked further back in the thread) that JIH had bought the 3 or 4 poker rooms and had settled a deal to pay some up front and make payments for the next 3 years.

If they started off with a relatively small float and otherwise relied on a combo of new deposits and rake, it would make sense that they can only pay people every now and again while they are trying to catch up.

hi guys, the order of the payments is very strange indeed. it doesnt seem to be in sequence of when the payout was requested.
i am actually on a payment plan, so they do all the payouts for me. i recieved $2650 on august 7, and today was paid another $2650. that means i would have gotten 2 payments before some people have even received 1. i hope you guys get paid soon, gl guys

its not arranged. the thing is, they investigated me for collusion right(no such thing) so my account has been disabled for like a year now, at the end of the investigation , they concluded that i did nothing wrong, so they said they would continue to pay me until my br is zero. therefore i requested that they pay me in increments of 2650. there is no certain times when i am paid at all, could be quick(few months ago it was) or it could take forever.

anyways i still dont have access to my account because they say, "the investigation is ongoing".....right
they probably dont want be there robbing all the fishes thats all. although i dont care if the account is reopened or not, i just care about the payments.

I just got 1k from action poker that was pending for 2,5 months. I still have 10k stuck on the site and I never received money in the first round of payouts, but nice to see things moving along!
