Post ** UNOFFICIAL Yachting Poker Thread **

Since as of tomorrow March 1st 2012 the advertising deal of Yachting Poker will end on 2+2, the official thread is getting closed and you can continue discussing Yachting in this unofficial thread. The Yachting Rep will be available as Justin.H on the forums to answer your questions and comment on feedback, but he cannot advertise new promotions.

The old thread can be found here: *** OFFICIAL Yachting Poker Thread ***

Yachting started as stand-alone poker site with the old Dracula Holdem software, which is pretty smooth and fast + doesn't require much CPU Usage. They are now a skin of the PokerPack Network and new sites should be added soon.

So far not, but with their new promotion traffic should go up. The 30% rakeback is paid directly to your poker account once a week and no bonuses are deducted, you should have it by default unless they changed that recently.

Here's my thoughts on the low traffic (which I'm probably wrong):

Right now there are too many euro sites, seems like there is a new one or more every month.

Some countries are requiring poker sites to hold a license for that specific country, I would think this would drive up the cost for the site.

They are not targeting the serious player, just going after the causal/fish/casino player.

These euro sites are missing out on a big market - Canada. None of them advertise in Canada, the only one that does is the biggest poker site on the net and that's where most of the Canadians play. You need to have around the clock traffic to build your site and you do this by getting players from all over the world. I feel that alot of these euro sites are not in it for the long haul, in a couple of years some of these small euro sites won't be around.

Again, just my thoughts please don't flame me to bad

I used to play there because of the great promotions(including rakeback to everyone).
Great site for beginner players!

Most sites probably don't feel comfortable to advertise in Canada, BossMedia for example doesn't allow Canadians to play there unless you are from Quebec and play on their skin (Loto Quebec?). Online poker is not illegal, but it's a very grey zone similar to Germany

hey piet_evil - the rb is credited to your poker acct bal every Thursday at 12:00 p.m.(CET), in the form of cash with no staking restrictions or requirements. You will receive a 30% return on all rake paid at cash tables and fees paid in Tourneys and SNGs.

We offer NL100 tables, but unfortunately the traffic is not sufficient to fill those tables at this time.

Re: ** UNOFFICIAL Yachting Poker Thread **

I was able to take part in the king of hill promo (had the day off work will again tomorrow), lots of action at the tables. There is no way I will win or even come close for that matter, played for 5 hrs and made about 260 points. I even played two tables at once (usually I only play one) and I put on my big boy pants and played .05/.10 (.01/.02 normal play). However it was a good day, my br is bigger thanks to the loose play! Looking forward to tomorrow.

GL at the tables all! (and play loose)

Re: ** UNOFFICIAL Yachting Poker Thread **

How about offering double points to PLO8 and the STUD games to help generate traffic? These games are so dead something needs to be done to get them going.
