As stated above this will be the main "piv situation" progress thread.

I've taken initiative in trying to resolve this issue. I'll be posting what has been done and what is happening at the moment.

Right now I'm in two groups of 36 and 6 people whose damages amount to more than $120000 and $151500 respectively. There is one more group of players that have yet to contact me that have ~$156000 stuck on PIV.

So far I've sent an official letter to LGA and to Deputy Chairman of LGA - Dr. Chris Cilia personally. This is the letter to Deputy Chairman:
Quote:
Dear Dr. Chris Cilia,

I am writing on behalf of a group of 30 (and growing) poker players. Since you are the Deputy Chairman at LGA, I am hoping that you can help us out.
During a period of several months, individual members of the group were unable to withdraw their funds from the Poker In Venice (PIV) network on multiple occasions. This is in against of the Terms of Service at PIV as well as a clear violation of how poker network should behave under the LGA license. According to LGA’s rules and regulations ‘upon the player's request, his funds will be returned to the account from which they were originally withdrawn within five (5) working days.’ Current damages of the group exceed $150 000 and is growing every day as more and more victims of PIV’s unlawful actions join our group.
I sincerely hope that this unfortunate situation can be resolved without getting mass media coverage and damaging the reputation of LGA and online poker in the process.

Awaiting your prompt action,
My contacts
No answers as of yet, but working days have just started, so I don't expect answers so soon.

Here is the copy of chat that I had with PIV's official representative:

{removed - see below}

Later today I'll try calling LGA. Perhaps with the board changes they will be of more help than on previous occasions.

For now this is all. Other things are getting done, but it's too early to speak of them as of now. Please keep all replies relevant to the topic. Experienced advice is welcomed. PM me for any suggestions.

Be sure to write to LGA and share this thread.

Thank you

*

Noticed that I made a little mess copying the chat. So here is the full version. In the removed message Pivgame said that their decision to transfer accounts to play2b and to enforce to rake 75% of our balance in order to be able to withdraw our money was reviewed, approved and signed by LGA

P.S. If any Moderators read this, I kindly ask you to remove the transcript in 1st post and put this post instead. Thank you.

Whats the option in this case: Agree those tempurapoker terms and rake 75% or just wait and see if my pending cashout is ever gonna be paid?

Better dont agree with tempura promotion. This is just another fraud!
And that is exactly against the law.
It is very likely that no one will get their money out, even after making 75% rake.

Do not agree to anything PIV or Play2B proposes. Best you can do right now is mail LGA and search for as many people who share our problem. Be sure that they post how much they have stuck in this thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...-much-1340904/

I haven't contacted PIV yet beacuse i know that i'm gonna get a "deal proposal" when i do. They state in that offer there is a 10 days deadline for accepting an offer. Otherwise, account will be deleted completely.

What about you guys who recieved the offer? What happened after 10 days?

Small update.

From the posts in "How much PIV owes" thread (<- link) I've concluded that the new estimate of player damages is $656390.

We're contacting other third parties that might be able to help us.

Everyone who is a part of this situation don't hesitate - write mails to LGA (Link) and give them a call (Tel: +356 2546 9000).
Effectiveness of this can be argued as they still haven't issued an official statement. But nevertheless make a contact with them.

If you or your friend have a blog or news site of any kind consider shedding some light on this situation.

Thank you and stay tuned.

This is an open letter that I urge you to send to every media outlet that has to do anything with the gambling industry.

Quote:
Hello,
I am writing this in hope that you can shed some light on an unfortunate situation that me and a big number of poker players have found themselves in.
This situation that I'm speaking of is PIV network (http://www.pivgame.com/) not complying with LGA rules and players requests to withdraw their funds from PIV accounts. The estimated amount of player monies they are holding is in the high 6 figures and could be over $1 million. The exact total isn't known but we do know they are yet another poker network to rob their players and they need to be exposed publically.

The LGA, their regulator, isn't doing much regulating. They totally ignore player requests for an investigation and every communication channel has been used to no avail. This situation, along with the previous scandals involving the LGA begs the question: what are they for exactly? So far no actions have been taken by either parties and there's no indication anything will happen.
This trend in poker industry has to come to an end and every media outlet has an ability to make an impact on the outcome of this situation. By writing about the situation in an article, public pressure mounts on the network and its regulator and public awareness becomes an important tool for not only bringing a positive outcome for the players but also as a deterrent for people working in the industry to scam players in the future. While we look at our legal options, we would really appreciate your help in this matter.

My advice is not to agree with anything that they offer, besides immediate withdrawal of your funds

Im thinking about playing in tempura and loose my money to my friend account and then withdraw it.
I think that it will be impossible to get any money from PIV and ive got just 1000€ so it shouldnt be difficult.

Fellow poker player and me sent a letter to skrill.

Quote:
Hello,

Using my skrill account I made deposits to Pivgame (pokerinvenice@pokerinvenice.com) on multiple occasions.
Here are some of my transactions:
1.
2.
3.
4.

The problem is that PIVgame is refusing to withdraw their players money (4000 euro in my case) and has cancelled my withdrawal requests on two occasions. This goes against LGA (Lotteries and Gaming Authority - http://www.lga.org.mt ) regulations, whose license PIVgame is holding. Despite hundreds complaints sent to LGA by different players they are still not taking any actions to protect player funds.
Choosing skrill I was hoping for my account and my operations safety. But sadly I am a victim of PIVgame's fraudulent activities who used their skrill account to basically steal money from players. And they continue to do so. Me, as well as other players who fell victim to this crime, are asking for your help in any way possible. Surely such a big corporation as skrill can protect the people, who chose skrill as their number one payment system.

Here are two thread about this on 2+2 forums:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...hread-1341144/
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28...-much-1340904/

Regards,
Roman
They requested my communication logs with PIV which I sent and after that they said that they started an investigation.
Everyone who made deposits with skrill should do the same!

At the same time I'm pushing my former affiliate and an employe of PIV skin, who is the sole reason I didn't withdraw my money a lot earlier, to be of some help. We'll see if he'll be able to clear his name.

An article about this situation has also been published on a Russian poker site - http://www.mirpokera.com/novosti-pok...-vyvodit-dengi
An update has been posted on pokerfuse - http://pokerfuse.com/news/poker-room...ed-to-players/
And a small note has been posted on PS - http://www.pokerstrategy.com/news/wo...Network_73369/

And many more, that have been sourcing pokerfuse.

Emailing Skrill is the right thing, if you have a right contact there. I would suggest people to email vip@skrill.com that would get a lot of attention and preassure in Skrill.

Thank you! Totally forgot to mention that you ought to mail to vip@skrill.com . They reply a lot faster and pay more attention to vip customers. Their vip support is top notch!
