They have their market too, e.g. myself. As I acknowledge that I lose pre-rakeback (am a 'RB grinder'), I prefer to play on deals that incorporate my source-based rake stats at least partially and, in so doing, give me an advantage over winning players putting in the same volume in old terms.
When a deal is formulated solely in terms of 'old' rake, it makes an assumption about how much an average signup loses pre-RB. Though I see sense in playing on such deals if I start winning pre-RB, I'll still pick those races where I'll see a few familiar losing regs, as the affiliate gets more (RPV-based) commissions then and can afford to award more race money in the long run.
You know well that
RakeTheRake is still offering flat old-style RB at some skins, though I don't like it that it equates slight losers like me to winners as said above.
