I don't remember. Probably there was Speed Poker, but I didn't dare play it for the lag reason you've mentioned.

Hey guys,

Returning to Poker after a couple of years out of the game, just wondered what the current state of iPoker is? I used to play there quite often (Titan mainly) but most recommendation I have now is to play on Stars.

Just wanted to get some thoughts on where the network stands currently. I'll be dropping back in at 6max micro (previously playing NL 10/25)

The cash game pool seems very live on iPoker. I play mostly PL050 and 100 and those games have 10+ tables running during peak hours. Just briefly looking at NLHE, the numbers seem comparable

I'd go with Stars if I were you. The games will run 24/7 and 10/25nl will still be very soft. As you move up the limits it might be worth looking at iPoker. Best of luck mate.

Stars is always the best choice as far as game availability, cashouts, security, etc.

As the limits increase, the games get very tough to beat.

This only guarantees that the account balance is safe, but I've heard that Coral was delaying promotional payments to signups of one certain affiliate (not advertising on 2+2) in 2014 because otherwise Coral would have been fined by the network for giving away too much rakeback.

I'm not sure if these fines apply any longer after source-based player valuation (which is itself a big punishment for focusing on winning regs) has come into effect. If they don't (which is very likely because the network now allows public offers of flat rakeback), then I see no reason not to trust Coral.

I'll be able to share my own experience with them from July on because I haven't played there this month.

Insight from industry insiders (e.g. RakeTheRake's Johnny) on the matter would be appreciated.

That's natural, there are fewer recreational players now and the proportion of regulars is bigger.

SnG players are in the red because a big part of their volume is jackpot (Rio etc.) SnGs, where the rake is 14.5%+, out of which ~5% (though the exact figure is not disclosed) in fact goes to the jackpot and only ~10% is the real rake. Naturally, even the best regs of Rios have pre-rakeback ROIs not better than -5% in the short term, especially when the jackpot reaches a big value and 5-reg games become common. This is however more than compensated in the very long run after they do win a jackpot, which is not shown by tracking sites.

Other formats like superturbos or DoNs are also overraked (in comparison with Stars; say, in €20-50 6-max superturbos, rake is 8% on iPoker), but rewards are also bigger and regs were able to show a profit after rakeback, at least before the source-based system was introduced, which deterred some of them.

This is reflected across the network, cash, mtts and sngs. It is hard to profit from tables full of regs. I am certain he source based rake will turn some regs away, but in cash games, I think the regs are still able to make a profit, albeit at a lower rate.

Not to brag, but personally, I have never run better at the cash tables than when SBR was introduced a couple months ago. May be simply variance/heater, or it may be a change in the table dynamics.

Not sure if everyone is aware, but William Hill has stopped rakeback as of June 1st. They did not send emails to notify players, they relied on affiliates to inform their players.

Not just William Hill but the whole network.

Is there an iPoker rep on 2p2? I need to get in touch with someone, but the 'contacts' page on iPoker doesn't seem to be sending what I'm trying to say. Or an email address would help. Thanks in advance.

There used to be Paddy, Betfair and Winpoker reps (for specifically those skins; their account names are PaddyPowerPoker, Harry.Betfair and James Lucas), but they're no longer active. There has never been a rep for the entire network, from my recollection.

Oh I am sure there are still so,e donkey affiliates that try to offer under the table deals with rakeback. But under the new rake distribution this is not really feasible anymore.

They have their market too, e.g. myself. As I acknowledge that I lose pre-rakeback (am a 'RB grinder'), I prefer to play on deals that incorporate my source-based rake stats at least partially and, in so doing, give me an advantage over winning players putting in the same volume in old terms.

When a deal is formulated solely in terms of 'old' rake, it makes an assumption about how much an average signup loses pre-RB. Though I see sense in playing on such deals if I start winning pre-RB, I'll still pick those races where I'll see a few familiar losing regs, as the affiliate gets more (RPV-based) commissions then and can afford to award more race money in the long run.

You know well that RakeTheRake is still offering flat old-style RB at some skins, though I don't like it that it equates slight losers like me to winners as said above.

The reason I was asking is because I stupidly blasphemed another reg in the chat and got my chat banned, which is devastating seeing a fish say "hello" to the table and just silence. I wanna plead my case and get it sorted, what should I do?
