Hopefully competition will even things out. I don't know how easy it is to switch from one skin to another or if that's even allowed.

Sandy,

Please talk with management about opening up P2P transfers. Once P2P transfers are allowed, you will receive a lot more traffic, until then, I'll be watching from the sidelines.

I do wish you and your company continued growth and prosperity but unfortunately I won't be one of your customers till you cater more to the U.S customer.
RedCuban,
We've raised P2P transfers to the network. For now players won't have an option for direct P2P transfer. However, we do understand that players would lke to be given this option and we'll continue to pursue this with the network.

I am here. We've just been very busy after the launch of our real money games and most questions in this thread had been answered by players or community members.

Can I register on Integer Poker too? From what Sandy said I think the answer is no. If so, it's not a big deal for me, but maybe you might want to compare their sign up bonuses if you haven't signed up to either one yet.
I'm very sorry but you won't be able to have more than one account on the entire network. The networks policy on this is very clear and reflected in each operators TOS.

This is why IntegerPoker has decided to start off lower while we're building up our room. Being 3 weeks into our real money games we've now added a new tier to POP rewards.

Our strategy is very clear. We will increase our promotions and rewards with the growth of our room allowing us to operate a balanced poker room. IntegerPoker is in this for the long run and not for a quick buck.

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

Hi, I have a question. I like to play SNG's, and in particular Heads Up Sng's. However upon downloading the client I see that there are no heads up SNG's at all, and the other SNG's only go as high as $11 for stakes. I see there is a filter for Heads up SNG's, just none available to play so makes me think they may be added.

Is there a plan to eventually offer Heads up SNG's? Is there also a plan to have stakes of SNG's be higher than $11? I love playing SNG's but personally prefer stakes of $50-$200.

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

So I log into 5 Dimes today to check the lines for tonights NFL game and I see that they have a skin on EPN called Open Waters Poker. Seems pretty interesting and it would be easy for me to get funds on and off as I can just transfer to and from my sportsbook account. Anyone played on this skin yet? What is traffic/software like?

We're working closely with the network to improve / change the current SnG structure, and names. A good SnG schedule is just as important to us as it is to you and again we're working hard to get it up and running. HU SnG's are planned as well as DoN's and other formats.

I've also made a note about the current buy-in limits and will forward your suggestion to our poker room manager who will mention it to the networks tournament manager.

Looking at the Merge sitngo structures and rake would be a pretty good place to start. A few months ago they updated to their present structure which I think is one of the few really good changes they've made recently.

Why can people have only one account on the entire network? I was planning signing up for the opening until I read that. Now I will wait months to signup while I wait for skins to open and see which is best.

Also. Do any sites let you see the lobby without signing up.

I think they are trying to avoid player poaching from skin to skin, which is understandable. But, I'm with you, no need to jump in early. I'm going to wait as see which sites offer the best value.

Re: *** Unofficial Equity Poker Network Thread ***

From this thread I gather that the maximum RB that the Equity Network allows is 50%, and the 5 Dimes skin essentially offers 50% RB through their POPs point program. If so, then why should RB-minded players wait for to see what other skins may offer?

I'm truly curious as I do not want to jump the gun and get "stuck" with a bad skin for this new network.

Promotions tend to wax and wane; so what a site is offering this month might not be the same as what they are offering a few months from now. I'd bet that over time, due to competition, the promotions of all the sites won't be that far apart. I'm not so sure that waiting around for the best promotions is all that important.

See, this rule about not being able to join 2 skins on the EPN is killing your business. Are you reading this thread? People are holding off from signing up in anticipation of newer skins! Already there are 3 known skins, given that, there will probably be more. I just think this is a really stupid decision by the network or whoever owns this mess.

^^^^Yes and also because if you are unsatisfied with a skin for reasons other than promos you are stuck with them. Yes networks are not easy to manage as every solution causes problems.

The alternative though is the different skins trying to increase their own player pool by poaching players from the other skins. Stealing players from other skins is a cheap and easy way of getting new players but doing that doesn't increase the overall player pool of the network. Poaching was a huge problem on the Merge Network when it had a lot of skins and it caused a lot of behind the scenes conflict. Equity is doing this to create a larger player pool and increase co-operation between the skins.

How can you know this? Yes, there are a handful of 2+2ers holding off; hopefully they're out there acquiring players elsewhere. Perhaps a little short term pain will result in long term gain as they avoid the severe poaching of players from skin to skin seen at times on other networks. I'm not convinced either way, but I think it's a little early to be certain this is a terrible move.

That said, there may be better approaches to this. One of the networks (was it Cake?) used to have a rule that required a lengthy wait before you could move to a different skin to get rakeback. Never being able to move skins seems a little harsh. It wouldn't shock me if they relaxed this at some point.

HU SnG's have been loaded to the Lobby and we're in the progress of updating the remaining SnG structure. Enjoy

Bobo and SantaCruz hit the nail on the head.

A player is only allowed to have one active account on the network at any given time. This does not mean that a player can't change Operator or won't be moved to a different Operator under certain conditions. These include:
  • Player belongs to the active player pool of a new Operator that joins the network.
  • Player account has been inactive for more than 60 days and player requests his account with Operator X to be closed.

Additional conditions may apply on a player to player basis as outlined in the operation constitution of each Operator. Any player that wishes to change network operator should contact support directly.

So why even have skins then? This is a ridiculous and failed business model that no longer applies to online poker.

I haven't been able to find anything to substantiate what you are saying. I think that you really need to provide a link to backup your accusations. It isn't unusual for someone with only 1 post that is making inflammatory statements to have an agenda; so I must say that I'm pretty skeptical.

Equity is a co-op. I don't see how you can say that it is a failed business model when, as far as I know, it is the first of its kind.

BetOnline has a BIG history of locking up winning players' accounts, seizing funds and all around FRAUD. A quick search on these forums is all you need to see many such examples. I signed up with a skin because they have freerolls, but I would never have my main roll on this site. Once I see players that have withdrawn successfully, I may be less skeptical.

But it has already been established in this thread that Clive Archer wasn't the CEO of BetOnline when the problems at that site occurred.

Archer was previously the CEO at the Action Poker Network, and the CEO of BetOnline. Action Poker Network was later renamed Chico Poker Network. Players on the US-facing network have faced payment problems over the last two years due to extended legal disputes following its acquisition by Julian International Holdings.
