This is the new (as of August 2016) discussion thread for the Chico Network. Decided to put this together since we had a lot of duplicate discussion with different threads.

I've "cheated" this a bit by copying one of my old posts and modifying it as the OP, and I'm going to move all the posts from this year in the BOL & Chico threads over to here.

*

Edit/MH: As there are no Sponsored Forums now, the BOL forum has been closed and locked, basically to be fair to the other sites. However, you can still read some old posts there, at https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/284/betonline-ag/

Please use this thread for future discussions.

Thank you.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll discuss it with the cardroom manager to see what we can do. We are looking at revamping our tournament structure, as I'm sure you've seen the weekend line up has changed drastically.

Just use PartyPoker and Full Tilt's rake their the closest structures. They rake at 5% and Chico rakes at 5.5%.

Using that, at 100nl 100k hands = around $7400

You do, seriously.

Also you'll see the pot function is way off so you have to type that in manually too.

Can US players play here? What are the cashout times?

As I've said before on here - I really don't understand how BetOnline could have software this outdated. The site is great, the cash games are fun and loose and the tournament schedule is improving. Why leave the software the way it is? It's absolutely, totally unacceptable in it's current state.

You can request updates to the software until you're blue in the face but it isn't happening. They don't administer the software and the company that does isn't interested in updating the software. There have been 0 (zero) meaningful updates since I have been playing here (long time). The last update included the only new feature I have ever seen (remove decimal separator) which I am pretty sure was some kinda troll.

Imploring them to license a different software would make sense but then again there aren't any good options that are likely there either.

TigerGaming doesn't allow US players however we share a player pool with BetOnline which does.

I, too, am seeing regular collusion at the 2NL through 10NL tables. I just haven't made an issue about it because the players are so bad they still lose. People know each other by first name, talk about what they folded while the hand is still in play, and will actually tell their "friends" to avoid getting into certain pots with them. It's rampant.

Thanks Cruz,

Do you or anybody here for that matter have any tips to multi-table? The top 2 table management softwares, barely work... also hot keys for bet sizes and slider wont work because it just clears the betbox amount out.

So with 2 monitors I can get about 9 tables going tiled.

If anyone plays more than this please share how you do this efficiently.

Thanks, and happy grinding

The max bonus on Betonline is $2000. and it clears in stages, the exact rake is $6523.00. And you get 120 days. The amount of hands can vary widely depending on your style of play and game format... I.E. Full ring tight style will take far more hands than playing a loose aggressive 6 max game.

Table Tamer works decently well. I've made a 12 Table Layout with it on my 27 inch monitor that fits pretty well. I run 2 monitors with lobbies and whatever on one, tables on the other. I also run Hold Em Indicator.

It's all about setting up hot keys for each table slot and practicing with it by "watching" SNGs that are running before diving in completely. Cash games, honestly even with the trick to minimize the BJ table, the functionality of TT is screwed up bc of it so I don't even bother playing too many tables of cash when I do.

In terms of hot keys, some can work, primarily ones that interact with on table buttons (1/4 Pot, 1/2 Pot, 3/4 Pot, Pot, All-In, Fold, Call etc).

It's still a pain in the ass to manage bc of the lack of a time bank and horrible lobby, but it can be done. Fwiw I 12 Table 1-Ups/SNGs/MTTs typically with Bovada as well. Tbh I hate the software enough where I'm likely giving up on it altogether. I've folded far too many hands simply bc the software defaults to fold instead of check when the time bank runs out.

Hope that helps a little

^ yea thanks!

I only play cash games, so this sucks for me. I created a custom site with SaT, Everytime, you have to open a table to get on the waitlist, you have to turn off SaT, then turn it on/off again till you can "hide" the BJ window. I can get the hot keys to work for buttons,(a standard 3x first to open has to be typed in still) There doesn't seem a way in the client to turn off "table to front" so the focus is being stolen, which means I basically have to keep tables in a grid spread over 2 monitors. Sucks, but as US player we don't have many options.

Chico doesn't own the software, they only lease it. It's the same software that FullFlush uses. Since they don't own it, they probably don't have much say in how much resources goea into updating it. I'd be happy (or at least happier) if they could just get the bet slider to work effectively.

it's been while since playing here and can honestly say the biggest reason for not playing here is the software. As the user stated above, hands get folded if you time out instead of check which is dumb. Worse yet, i had software crash after software crash when playing at BoL

Yeah the $250 dollar thing is insane. Especially considering that most of their poker players are rec players.

Log onto the website Betonline.ag and not the poker client and you can access live chat via the my account section. No balance needed.

I had an opponent pot pre-flop to $220 leaving himself $15 in PLO and after I shoved in my stack he timed out and folded before he could put in the last $15. After that I don't feel quite as bad about accidentally folding out a couple hands every session.
