I went back and read the thread. Only question I have is this: for those of you who said it was fraudulent and canceled your card, did the bank not question why there were other charges that look the same and that you didn't claim were fraudulent? I could be wrong, but I thought some of my legitimate deposits were also "PES2Bill..."

No, no questions like that. A fraudulent charge is a fraudulent charge. It doesn't matter if you had a legitimate charge from the same company in the past, if you didn't initiate/approve the charge, it's fraud.

Hey I'm looking for some opinions and a little bit of help here.

After a bit of reading, I've found that Holdem Indicator (HI) is the only program that currently works as a HUD on bovada. And basically, the only other program that works on these anonymous tables is the bovada hand converter, which makes HEM1/2 and PT3/4 work, but no HUD.

If that is all true, what are your opinions on these programs? I think I mostly want to know if I should just get one or the other, or is it necessary to get both?

Thanks in advance

I don't know why you wouldn't get both. If you don't want to review your hands, keep track of your results, and figure out how you're playing on average, then don't get the hand converter. If you're don't want a stats, don't get HI. But most people would want both. That said, you need a program to import your converted hands into, I think they have some free options but you've been around for a while so you probably have PT or HM.

Cool...I actually just looked at my bank statement and none of the legitimate charges were from the PES2Bill company anyways. This is pretty freaky. I'm now wondering if I should cancel my other card that I have deposited with, even though I have not had any fraudulent charges on it.

This is complete bull**** that Bovada won't respond and doesn't seem to care about this. They have obviously either been hacked or used a ****ty payment processor. They should at least send an email out to all players warning of these charges, but of course they won't do that bc it might scare some players away. They would rather have players' entire bank accounts be at risk in the future.

Thanks for the response.

I guess my questioning stems from that fact I don't know the capabilities of HI. I watched the preview video from their website, and they are both pretty laughable. So that lead me to believe its a ****ty version of PT/HM, and that players really only use it as a HUD on bovada, or in the rare case of someone living under a rock and doesn't know about HM/PT.

I didn't know if getting both would be basically paying double for nothing, outside of having a HUD, or that they do a ton of different things (hope that makes sense). But your response leaves me to believe that HI is basically only HUD and BHC is more tracking results, review, etc.

And you mentioned free hand converting options. Can you point me into a direction here? Apologies if this is somehow against forum rules or something(idk)

thanks!

HM/PT - Holdem Manager, Poker Tracker, used to keep track of everything, by logging your converted hands and displaying statistical information on how you play, etc etc.$$80 or so.

HI is independent of the other programs. If you don't want a hud don't get HI.
HC requires a program like HM/PT (We have a free software forum, I believe there's an Open Tracker or something that provides the same functionality for free, which is what I was referencing). You use HC to convert the hands to a format that HM/PT can read, which allows you to import your hands into your database.

If you want to be able to convert tourney hands, then you'll need both programs.

what do you guys say to your bank if they ask you something about the checks? (to avoid mentioning "online gambling")

How do you get your hand histories? Do you constantly email support or is there an automatic way?

They are available for 7 days 24 hours after completion of the session or tournament. You can download them from the hand history game transaction menu.

I've had this happen twice in ~10 years. The first time I asked if it was their standard practice to ask where their customers' money comes from. The second time I told them I do consulting work as a product tester for an adult toy company.

If they ask me, I'm going to say I'm doing consulting work for a website. But, ultimately IMO, it's none of their business.

For those complaining about the casino promotion...I don't understand. If you're +EV in the WSOP sats and planning on playing them, "Hey, here's an extra $15 to gamble in the casino." You either bust that freeroll or you run it up (after making $300 in wagers). You could technically do that in five hands of BJ if you run hot.

If there's five hands and BJ you're definitely running hot.

I'd say gay porn webmaster. Then make a scene, asking if he's happy that my secret is out. Before I walk out, I hit on the hottest teller, just to confuse them even more.

Even better, make up some business cards and hand it to him saying you are always looking for new talent.

I'm about to start playing on Bovada and the support won't give me any direction on what violates their TOS regarding:

"6.3. No Player Assistance Programs. Use by players of external player assistance programs ("EPA Programs") which are designed to provide players with an unfair advantage over their opponents are expressly prohibited. We define EPA Programs as including computer software and non-software-based databases or profiles (e.g., web sites and subscription services) and we consider access to or the ability to gather data or information on other players by any means that would not be accessible via their own first-hand experience (i.e. observation of game play) to be "unfair". We reserve the right to close Accounts and void any and all winnings in such Accounts if we establish, in our reasonable discretion, the use of an EPA Program."

They are basically telling me to use poker programs at my own risk.

I want to use Equilab. Anyone use this on Bovada or know if it's fine? I'd hate to have my money confiscated for using this program.

Thanks
