I'm a pro and ready to throw in the towel on this site -- I can only imagine a recreational limit player has already pulled their money out. Pre update, this time of the night you could regularly find 2-3 30/60 o8's, and 1-4 lhe's at these stakes. Just disgusting what they've done to the game that they should most want their recreational players to play (due to the lower edge that a good player can have over a bad player in limit, as compared to no limit).
What a sad moment in poker history. As you stated, if Ignition really cared about recreational players, they would actively promote these games. As far as I'm aware, Ignition was the last site on earth that regularly spread mid-stakes LHE and Lo8. Makes my want to barf. Maybe I'll move to Arizona. No limit is illegal there so all the cardrooms spread nothing but various limit games. But playing just one slow moving 30/60 at a time is just really sad.

I dont play limit but i feel for you limit grinders. Could only imagine the suck in having your chosen format taken away by a update from the last place you could play it in the states. Hopefully it starts running on another site or something.

I pulled my bankroll and moved over to ACR. Tougher games, but at least you don't have a problem sitting at a full table.

This is probably the final kick for me as well. On top of every other bad decision thrust upon me, making it near impossible to stay at full tables is the end.

Any advice as to where a US-based micro-stakes player can now go that ISN'T shady as hell?

I wouldn't give up so easily on Ignition, but I recommend betonline or ACR. I think betonline is a little fishier, but it depends what stakes you play. There's a ton of games up into mid stakes on BOL. High stakes is sporadic.

No, I think I mistyped. I meant they separated their sportsbook from the US poker room. Ignition still shares a poker player pool w/ Canada, China and Latin America.

Your bodog still has a sportsbook attached correct?

Oh I see. We still have the sports bets scrolling along the bottom of the lobby, so I would guess so. Never used the sports betting.

this is so stupid. I've been playing for 20 min and I've already had 6 tables break on me.

Ya, bingo... de facto sports betting link still in effect for bodog which shares the same player pool as ignition.

Anyone else having major lagging issues since the upgrade on Ignition? Opening tables often take an age or just gets "stuck."

Nothing major, but the tables definitely take longer to load. I also sometimes just get taken to an empty table and get an error and can't join.

Hey so do ignition poker players and bodog players not play against each other?

No, but the new update is a bit more resource intensive than the previous version. There's a little bit of table lag, but loading hasn't been an issue for me personally.

I've played a few sessions since this update, and so far it's kind of showing itself to be the horribleness that I anticipated.

I've been playing on Ignition/Bovada/Bodog since the first or second month that they opened a poker room, and I'm really thinking this might be their worst change ever. I actually didn't mind the move to anonymous or the hiding the full tables (though that became kind of pointless when they went anonymous).

I am an avid table starter. I like to start 6-handed and 9-handed tables, because in my experience, you can get a good game going that way. I usually avoided the HU tables even though I was pretty decent at them, because I saw a bunch of singles playing didn't expect that I'd get action, which wasted a valuable table slot. A few months ago, I decided to sit a HU table though, and I found that action wasn't constant, but it would happen. Since the change, it has now become King Of The Hill...with more people sitting and sitting out without even playing. If I'm seated with someone HU, I now have to basically just play them...very frequently, if they're a reg, they at some point realize that the edges are small and just leave (which is entirely reasonable...I don't really want to play them either). So then I get the table...but then it can be hours before someone sits with me again...which makes me think the seating priority is effed.

When I sit the 6-handed or 9-handed tables, I have no idea if I'm going to be a table starter...and if I do start the table, 90% of the time, a bunch of full stack (likely regs) get seated on my direct left...which is terrible and motivates pretty much all of us to sit out.

It's a limited sample, but I've seen far fewer fish since the change was implemented.

Also, I'm not really even sure how to approach sessions anymore. I guess we'll adapt as we always have...but it does make me want to take business elsewhere...which is very sad, because I've always looked forward to playing on and spoken highly of the site.

Yeah I hear ya Cobalt. Bovada has basically been the home for any American pro who did not want to move abroad for 6 years since BF.

Once tables went anonymous, like you and many others, I adapted a more gto and less read oriented strategy, and also focused on 6m tables as the huhu can waste valuable table space and you just get way more 'huhu' action at a 6m than a real huhu table. the key is being good at huhu and 6m imo.

A lot of people got jobs and mostly played bovada for the juicy side income. It did have the numbers and it did have the fish and it does pay on time. A bodog always pays its debts

Now, many part-time and full-time American pros are realizing this update makes it waaay more difficult to make money. Huge success on their part. The recreational model part 2 makes the whole anonymous and full table hidden thing of rec model part 1 look cute.

I really think there will be an ignition exodus. That's why so many are talking about other sites in this thread.

The good news is online poker, regulated or not, is here to stay. Who will step up? My money is on ACR/Winning becoming the place to play. Also, a completely new room to step up would nice but that's hopeful.

Both the above posts seem sad but true. I have also played on bovada for years and I'm guessing there will be no going back to the old lobby, if there is anything bovada has proved it's that they don't really care about poker. I'm sure we will never know any numbers but I would guess that the traffic will reduce dramatically and maybe that brings them to their senses but I'm guessing that's far fetched........

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on Bitcoin? I want to start a Bitcoin
wallet but I noticed there are a lot of different options. I assume others have already figured out which ones are the better ones.

I want to download to windows and use for Ignition.

Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
