Due to semi-popular demand, the thread is back in NVG.

The stalling is just bad for the game IMO. I primarily play cash games but I like to dabble in the satellites and late night MTT's after a couple drinks. It's supposed to be entertaining as opposed to watching people manipulate the clock. Time banking junkies ruin my buzz.

By default, it will pop to front when action is on you
It hasn't popped up for me at all, several times I've opened the table to discover I auto sat out vs someone that left

I don't recall if it's on by default, but there's an option in the settings for it.

the part of the article about big hand versus big hand seems interesting. I've always had a feeling that there were too many cooler hands on Bovada. I feel I've won my fair share of these cooler hands, but there just seems to be too many of them.

Cooler hands do conceivably benefit the poker site. In cash games, they increase the rake. In SNG and multi table tournaments, cooler hands lead to eliminations, which in turn lead to more buy ins.

Seeing people who know enough to join a forum such as 2p2, yet still talk about how something is fishy with how often big hands occur on Bovada, makes me feel very comfortable about the current state of poker.

This just goes to show how the human brain fails to understand what it sees and tries to make rational explanations for what it thinks is irrational or impossible. Most people think they understand variance but the majority do not.

Can a coin flip land on heads 100 times in a row? Of course. May be statistically unlikely but still a possibility. Most people would believe it's a double sided coin first before they believe that it actually was real.

In the situation you describe, I would question the intelligence of the individual who accepts at face value a situation that is 1 in 1,267,650,600,228,229,401,496,703,205,376 (if my math is right) without first considering the alternatives.

That said, the article being discussed intrigued me...until I got to the end. Seems to be a pretty face up smear campaign by ACR. They should have been a little more insidious IMHO.

Ok so 100 times in a row was a bad example. But you get the point I was trying to make.

The things that are constantly questioned or the accusations about online poker are from scenarios that happen probably as frequently as heads coming up 5-10 times in a row. Not all that out of line with the true probability of these things happening naturally as they should.

Bovada crashing for anyone else?

I love how it freezes but still makes you post your BB when it gets around and there is nothing you can do about it except watch yourself time out

Someone explained it earlier in this thread or the NVG one, but with "big hands" they are most likely botching that classification somehow.

As far as the bad beats go, that's explainable. Ya bovada players are bad, but they are usually jamming crap in or calling off something from marginally -ev to massively losing , so there's always something to fade and when the recs run well it seems pretty rough, esp considering the table cap.

I'll never understand the people who shout rig or w/e when there are players on this site who make their living from it. Ya there are bots too, doesnt matter you can still win, be happy.

I'm not arguing whether it is common or not. It will never change so stop posting about it.

Wait didn't you have a full house? He just had a flush? How did you lose?

He also says he has the ace of spades and that the ace of spades comes on the flop. He seems confused.

woops replace A with some middling spade card..Yeah the dude flopped 9 high flush..i tried to bluff him off with the naked ace play..ended up w/ a runner runner boat and won the pot but i know for sure i had 4% equity on the flop and 15% on the turn cuz i looked it up on ProPokerTools right after. I would try to look up the actual hand again but Bovada keeps giving me that error message "Cant connect to server"

F**** hate that sh***...always have to restart the client and wait 5 minutes before joining that juicy table i was at...and sometimes i lose the damn table..

Bovada needs to fix this issue. most annoying bug imo especially when you are preparing for a grind session, load up 4 tables play like 5 hands on each...lose one hand and check to see what the guy had and then you get that white screen with that dumb F**** message

The people that post about it are probably unaware that it's a huge issue and has been discussed to death before posting so get off your high horse.
