Yes, the online ones don't have a high success rate. WU in person always works.

People were complaining about this in the official thread and Ice said they are going to have scheduled maintenance between 3-7am tomorrow so they cancelled all tournaments that might run into that time period. I'd swear I saw that tournament promoted on my cash table though.

I'd suggest a quick call to support, which won't take long and will assure you get accurate info.

My observations since joining 7/5/13. Good site for making money. Bad site for improving game. Won a lot of hands that should not even be playing or should have folded when raised, but played them b/c noticed people going all in with bottom pair, even when 4 cards to straight flopped or 3 flush cards flop. Doubled my money 5 days. Had never done that so fast. But creating bad bad habits. I am in a quandary, don't want to degrade my game but want to make money. I think need to play in other sites to keep perspective or else my game will deteriorate. Never seen anything like this for long time online.

I just initiated my first w/d on Bovada and I did not have to verify my account.
I emailed support and asked, and they said since I deposited w/ a Visa debit, I could w/d via check without having to verify.

This may be a stupid question, but I have searched the client for quite a long time and cannot find the messages section.

In an email I got from support, they said I would be able to track my check using the messages section. Like I said, I can't find it. I click on the message icon on the top right of the client, and it seems to be for sending messages to support.

Support said it is in the "account" section of the client, and the only tabs that show up when I click that are, cash, points, play money, points to tickets, and tournament tickets.

I feel like a dumbass, but this is really pissing me off.

edit: found it. definitely wasn't in the account section.

Yes, I won the 7.70 last week and played in the 44+4 this week and it's sent me out an e-mail confirming I cleared the first bonus.

Make the money..that's the whole point. Gotta adjust to your environment. Game changes over time as well there are always adjustments as you know. I say make the money until the well is dry don't think about anything else.

First I've had a number of pots where a player just basically gave me money. Now I mean for instance when I have quad aces on an AAK board..the pot is $20 and the player in front of me insta shoves for $89 with j4 off. And I've seen and been involved in a number of pots that resemble that.

Second is the player who is trapping with the nuts before having anything that resembles a hand. Like in a pot where a guy limps with 47off in a full ring game. He gets raised 6x..there's a call behind and then he min 4 bets??? Then the flop is 356 and he's shoving into KK and QQ. And once again I've seen a number of pots where a player is trapping long before he ever gets the nuts.

It's just really strange. Can anyone confirm this so I don't sound like a flake? Let me be clear that I do very well on bovada but can't help my suspicion here.
Sorry for my delayed response...here is some info:
Yes, I have seen both of these happen not hundreds, but thousands of times in the past 18 months. Many players have extra cash they dont mind losing and I suspect they enjoy the thrill of trying to bully the "flop raiser" in a hand into folding. Also, many players go all in preflop with junk and it turns into a straight (as I will show examples of below). They often are trying to steal the original mini-raisers chips preflop along with the blinds, or they think (in a huge betting battle pre) that if 1-2-3 people are betting heavy pre, those players likely have AK or 10-10+ hands, which often end up as one pair, and their suited tiny connectors COULD become a flush or straight, thus stacking people and getting the gambler into the chip lead. Or they are just complete donkheads.

I am tracking my Mini Series results. I have success often in Bovada, but haven't gotten past first hour in ANY Mini Series event, which defies all logic. Here is what happened to me...these are ALL of the big hands in my MiniSeries events. I won ZERO big pots, ever, in the Mini Series this month. Craziness and variance abound in Bovada land:
1) My QQ < AA. AIPF. Happens occasionally, right? Oh well. On to the next event..
2) My QQ < AQ AIPF
3) My QQ < A6o AIPF. 3 outers abound, and players who think they are CALLING my all in while they THINK they have a stronger hand than me.
4) My A-10 < 99 AIPF. My mistake. Oh, and if I had shoved my 99 preflop at the WSOP Main Event satellite final table last month, I would be at the main event right now darn it. Woulda sukkked out on a QQ...I knew I was behind, so I folded. Too much clear thinking late in that $500-entry tourney.
5) My AA < 33 AIPF. I did not have a small stack, and he had a huge stack, so he was taking chances.
6) My 10-10 < AQ when I bet huge (6x pot) AFTER a 3-6-9 rainbow flop. Donk called me, got an Ace river, and of course he played himself out of the tournament 3 minutes later.
7) My A2 < A3 in small preflop pot, we both shoved after 2-3-A flop. Same thing happened to me late in a live tourney a few months ago. I hate that situation more than most other ways of losing.
8) My AQ < KJ
9) My 88 < J9o AIPF J9 was chip leader, gambling with excess chips.
10) my AA < KQ AIPF so annoying
11) My AA < AQ AIPF he rivered a flush
12) My KK < AA AIPF happens so often
13) My AA < 3-7o of the chip leader. He shoves pre to steal, I call in the BB, and see a 4-5-J-6 flop and turn.

So after this I was finally crushing a tourney, the $6,000 guaranteed ($8k actual) 21:30 $11 tourney Sunday, top 5 stack when the Bovada site crashed for most people. They gave me $21, which is soooooo wrong. I looked at the HH, and all of us but one guy were disconnected. He won 58 out of 60 hands in 10 minutes, and went from $14k chips (I had $33K) to $109k. And saw that some guy in St Louis made an extra $20,000 because everyone but him was disconnected from the $100K final table. This is so terribly unfair, but Bovada doesnt seem to want to do any payouts based on chipcount proportions if more than zero people are still able to connect.

So I kept plugging away and finally won another tournament last night in a swift 5 hours and 22 minutes. Right after I went all in in the MiniSeries 8pm event with JJ vs QJ. He got his 3 outer and had 5x the avg stack, then he went busto less than 4 minutes later LOL.

Variance. Is. Stressful.

I think you are right. I guess here even if the players are anonymous you still need to pay a lot of attention to players and play accordingly. Play each table on its own world. Don't play too loose just because it's Bovada, just play the players in that hand. Maybe my game won't decay after all. Thanks.

Example, here at worst I had 3rd best straight after river, and this guy/gal was raising and barreling...I thought maybe he/she had better straight so just called his last raise and then he/she just shows pocket pair made up of undercards 6s. With 4 cards to straight and over pair on board

Does anyone here play the 6man $200 +$15??

I've been trying to watch and see if the play is any different and the only thing i can sense is that the speed is about twice as slow as the midstakes games

Were you ITM in the 6k when the site went down?

I would like to hear from a player who was disconnected from the 100k FT. There was at least one guy on here claiming to be on the night of the crash, and he hasn't complained about not getting proper reimbursement, so I doubt this is true.

I was disconnected from the 15k and I was reimbursed properly.

Hi guys. I was wondering if anyone here has ever reported collusion for limit holdem games on BOVADA(2/4,3/6,4/8). The past 2 days I have suspected it and reported to BOVADA both times particular hands at a table and the players. What I am wondering is if they do find out they were colluding what happens next? Will I be getting the money I was cheated out of back? I remember years ago reporting blatant collussion on FTP in a 3/6 game and they credited me $5.16...something like that. Thanks guys, I'd like to hear from anyone else's experience.

It actually says in the promo, and in most promos, you must be subscribed to promotional emails to be eligible.

Their email system is horrific, its not a bad idea to double check if youre not positive you are subscribed when you enter promos because it can be hard to tell. For example, many that are subscribed never receive any promotional email just because of errors in their system.

I could def see someone being subscribed and not receiving credit for being subscribed.

Also, the opt in function is suspect as well. It seems to be working good the last couple promotions, but their have been promotions in the past where none of us were getting credit for opting in and had to call or email and opt in with support. Luckily, like I said, it seems to be ok now.

Hi. I reported possible collusion the past 2 days in 2/4 and 3/6 limit hold em games and was wondering if anyone else has done so as well in the past and what the outcome may have been. Been playing on Bovada the past couple of months but witnessed some really fishy hands back to back days so I think I may have caught a couple of colluders the last 2 days. Has anyone else reported possible collusion and if so how long did the reviews take, did players recieve compensation, and what kinda e-mail did Bovada send you. Thanks guys
