Okay so
this post raises the question is BetOnline set up this way because they have no clue what they are doing - or so they can benefit from cash grabs.
Have a software that invites cheats and let them win legitimate chips and then confiscate the funds? Seriously there's another dispute on SBRForum been going on since November 1, where SBR lou basically says he's guilty played 53 hands were collusion was involved and $50.00 chip dumped to a friend (was a player to player transfer site) so end of story guys guilty keep the money. (actually for 16 or 17 days he said nothing, it was only after calling out SBR well a response was even given) But!! This guy had $37,000 confiscated. There's no hand histories, BOL never produces them. I mean collusion issues are rarely clear cut. It seems so far all I've seen that a reasonable person arbitrating should rule, is okay transfer $50.00 back to his friend. Back out those 53 hands, pay him the difference and ban him. Of course the more the poster in that dispute talks the more guilty he appears.. However, I just get the sense from everything I read in these complaints. what is happening is this:
BetOnline sees a player deposit $1,000 and won $50,000 says yeah that can't be possible. Then just tells him "we know what you did" over and over again without telling him anything, supplying any evidence. Its just appears they're going on a hunch (and they will be right a large percentage of the time).
So its raises the question when an honest player goes on a legit heater and there is not a single fraudulent chip involved anywhere.. what are chances he gets paid. My guess is VERY SMALL. If he presses enough he'll probably finally get a post from SBR Lou saying why BetOnline is not paying him, Lou will agree with and believe it. If it gets pressed forever some incomplete few small hands that don't tell the full story will be used to steal from an honest player - though it may never get that far if there is nothing to be found.
That's my take here. The US market is a jungle, but BetOnline poses one of the highest risks. From what I hear though the games are so soft some people might want to dance with that - but it has to be under the assumption there is much higher probability of getting stiffed there than elsewhere and managing that risk.
