IBAS is the main alternative dispute resolution entity and they are not fit for purpose. AFAIK the UKGC say that a refusal to use alternative dispute resolution cannot affect statutory rights. If a UK court has jurisdiction, proceeding with the intention of going to court will always be as successful as alternative dispute resolution.

Another thread caused me to come back on this one. I thought i'd updated it ages ago.

After pursuing a claim through the IOMGC my complaint was upheld and I received full payment. It took 13 months, mainly me chasing for responses. It got escalated to the head guy there, and was settled in 3 months from escalation. TBF at that point they explained why it was taking so long, which was due to their difficulty in finding an appropriate expert in the field who did not have an conflicts of interest.

In the grand scheme of things it wasn't a huge amount - circa £30k, but a lot to me. The site was Paddy Power, although was an ipoker promotion - progressive SnG jackpot. Whilst they paid up in the end, I will never ever play on an ipoker skin ever again.
